Home made electric vehicle.

The owner of this electric vehicle Chevy Bolt has done what no electric manufacturer has done so far.

Something completely logical.

I’ve often wondered why electric vehicle manufacturers have designed their cars to use the energy wheel rotation produces to power the batteries in the vehicle.

This man made it at home.

What you see in the frame is a generator that produces current that charges batteries.

You no longer need to stop to charge vehicles at charging stations or charge them at night at home.

While the vehicle runs, it charges the batteries.

Elementary my dear Watson.

A question I was always asking but told it wouldn’t work.

    huh……Stupid Me

    There’s no free lunch.
It takes power to move the vehicle in the first place, more than can be supplied by a wheel drive generator.

It could be used a breaking system which also feeds the battery as modern electric cars do. I get 4.5 – 5 miles a kilowatt on a new electric car and only 3.5 – 3.75 on an older one. That’s in summer. Winter would be less no doubt. In summer most of this comes off solar panels – running two cars and the house for under £100 a month at current rates. Winter will be far more expensive! ? £1000 a month.
