And just why are we short of water when it pisses down 6 months of the year? (I have no idea how this story made it past the censors. Nestle must have pissed someone off).

This reminds me of something I read Coca-Cola did back in the ’80s or ’90s. They found a place in India which was served by a local aquifer, and set-up a prefabricated factory to colour, flavour, carbonate and bottle their cola. They emptied the aquifer after producing a billion or so cans for the Indian market; then not only did they leave the area without water, they also left the factory without properly disassembling it. In time it will become an environmental hazard as metals corrode and oil and other chemicals start leaking. But Hey! They made a lot of money!, so they don’t care about the devastated area devoid of water and the poisons they left behind.
