The United States allowed the use of American weapons for strikes on the Crimea. This is reported by Politico with reference to a representative of the White House. The interlocutor of the publication explained that Washington considers the peninsula to be Ukrainian territory, therefore it will consider such attacks as “self-defense”.

    I know I’m being naive but would you not think that ordinary people would question what the US, NATO and the EU have to do with this operation in Ukraine?

    It’s as if people have been so brainwashed by the siting of US/NATO bases everywhere and the ‘need’ for the US to patrol the South China Sea as if it’s the Gulf of Mexico, that nobody is thinking straight.
