His own home was damaged by Ukrainian shelling, and that of his relatives.  He appeals to his former colleagues to do the right thing and join him.  This is big in Ukraine/Russia.  Look at all the comments.  As Ukraine is shelling civilian populations on all fronts on a daily basis, how can there by any peace negotiation?  They’ve only been doing it since 2014 without a break.  The country needs to be defeated as the Ukrainians are incapable of abiding by a peace treaty as they proved with the Minsk accords.
