    All true NE, for anyone wanting to explore the subject further read Tom Cowans book “Human Heart, Cosmic Heart”. It explains it all in detail including the method which actually causes the blood to flow round the body. A fascinating read.

    To be honest I can’t think of one thing that I used to believe was beyond doubt 25 yrs ago that I now think is true.
    We’re all lied to on an industrial scale, but at least more people are realising this.

      Yes it is all true Steve, and I agree we thought it was all true, but like you some of us had the wits to start to realise things were not quite how they were saying they were and one rabbit hole led to another!

        When I was a child my father told me a story of how he and Wild Bill Hickok won the the Wild West, and I believed him. The following day I went to school and told the story to my teacher.

        When my son was a child I expanded the tale by telling the same story, adding that my father and Wild Bill Hickok sailed from Berwick Docks in a canoe to reach the Americas. The following day my son went to school and told the story to his teacher. How convincing I must have been.

        The moral of the story is that you can tell children anything and they will believe you.

        These days I tell so many stories to my grandchildren I believe them myself!

          Thanks for that Gordon, not. I can’t believe I am about to admit to this, but here we go. It’s early 1970’s and I’m aged 7, when I met a new friend at a new school. Anyway, the first time I went to his home, I mentioned his dad. This was in the days when divorce was very rare and something the few children whose parents were divorced tended not to talk about it. Anyway, he told me he didn’t have a dad and I was sort of shocked, as to me everyone had a dad and he had 3 brothers and sisters to boot. He told me how his dad died and I was in total shock. I went home and told my parents how my friends dad had died and they just told me, “I don’t think he died like that.” I can’t tell you, I am so embarrassed to admit, for how many years later, I still believed his father was eaten by a dinosaur. Yes I am living proof children can and will believe anything they are told. Thanks Gordon.

    I like reading the comments attached to links given as you sometimes come across a few gems. In the comments that where below link given above, you will find a reply with a large picture of a skull and the planet earth amongst other things and that reply has a link to an interesting article that discusses three subjects.
    This articles subject, the heart, the existence of viruses and a topical subject for the last few days with the war, the validity of nuclear weapons. They are not in depth or long reads, but I just found it an interesting read.
    Also it’s amazing in those comments how many people there just dismiss the article and stick with the mainstream view that the heart is a pump, wow.
