Globalist financial algorithm runs amok
Like many of my fellow travelers, I am haunted by a question: why does such absurd aggression toward Russia emanate from the ruling elites in Europe and from certain elements in the US and elsewhere? This aggression only makes matters worse for the collective West at each and every step. Don’t their leaders see this? They are in a hole; why can’t they stop digging?
Observing modern European politics, one gets the feeling of having stumbled into a theater of the absurd. The real actors are long dead. Clumsily cobbled-together dummies are scurrying around on the stage shouting out nonsensical slogans. They impersonate leaders of once great European powers. Wearing solemn expressions, they sign orders which mandate a deliberate and predictable economic suicide. Their industries cheerfully leap straight onto the scrapheap of history. Their citizens forgo the daily shower and barely heat their living spaces to avoid being bankrupted by exorbitant energy costs.
The citizens of Western nations desperately search for logic, common sense, or at least a secret, nefarious conspiracy that is behind their misfortunes. They imagine a room where gray-haired, sinister patriarchs or obnoxious men in torn jeans and provocatively cheap T-shirts decide the fate of the world. But reality is far more cynical, cold, and technical. There are no patriarchs here. There are only deaf and blind algorithms which enable patterns of near-global financial parasitism, and their biological interfaces through which they control your lives in ways you can barely detect.
To begin with, let me reiterate the obvious — a point that has been endlessly rehashed: the European politician as an independent agent is as extinct as the proverbial dodo bird. European politicians, as a class, have been replaced by highly paid PR managers whose sole task is to read out scripts generated by supranational neural networks that were trained once and for all to “deal Russia a strategic defeat.”
A representative example of this total lack of agency is the political evolution of Marine Le Pen, always and again a candidate for the French presidency. For many years, she had been branded an outcast. Her party was starved of funds. She was subjected to petty lawsuits. The liberal press churned out a stream of caricatures of her. She was considered “toxic.” And then a magic transformation took place. She made a few harsh Russophobic statements and ritually pledged allegiance to NATO. At that moment, her path to the French presidency opened up. But what about domestic politics, which are a horrific mess? As far as the Algorithm is concerned, they don’t matter one bit.
We’d be wrong to think that this was an evolution of her views. The Algorithm tested her for loyalty, verified that she was compatible, and granted her access. French voters have far more important issues to care about than foreign policy. They care about rotten schools, rotten healthcare, the price of gasoline and migrants in the suburbs. But Le Pen wasn’t auditioning for the voters. She was auditioning for the Algorithm. And she passed the audition, proving she was ready to sacrifice France’s national interests to finally plant her derrière in the seat of power which she has desired for so long.
Another, even more farcical example is Péter Magyar in Hungary. He was a mere cog in Viktor Orbán’s political wheel until quite recently. And then suddenly this unremarkable political functionary emerged as the great new hope of European democracy. The European Union’s officialdom and media granted him undivided media attention and the financial resources he needed to win. Was the EU really that concerned about democracy in Budapest? Of course not! The Algorithm decided that it needs an obedient tool to kick the chair out from under Orbán. And what was Orbán’s sin? He minded Hungary’s national interests.
Thus we may conclude: a European leader of today is not the captain of a ship of state but a half-hostage, half-puppet.
But what is this Algorithm before which every European politician is forced to grovel? What is the origin of this unspoken yet perfectly obvious consensus among the Brussels bureaucracy, transatlantic think tanks and global media conglomerates that to become “respectable”, a politician must pass a loyalty test on several key points points: that NATO is sacred, that EU discipline is mandatory and that Russia must be destroyed.
Once all of these boxes have been ticked, the European media instantly changes its tone, doors open and money floods in. No longer is an aspiring politician characterized as a “dangerous populist.” In a blink of an eye, he becomes a “pragmatic statesman.” But why must they all do this? For a very basic, selfish reason: the career of a modern European official is not built on pleasing the voters. The voters are fickle; they might vote for just about anyone because they are mad about the gas prices or the price of beer. A Euro-bureaucrat’s career is built on moving from one seat to another within a vast supranational bureaucracy that includes the EU, the IMF, the UN, NATO, World Economic Forum and so on.
If they please the Algorithm, it secures their personal futures, their pensions, and their seats on the boards of transnational corporations once they leave office. That is why they couldn’t care less about their smelly, freezing, permanently dissatisfied citizens or factories shutting down and laying off workers by the tens of thousands. They betray their countries — but they do so not out of malice, but due to a careerist mindset so deeply ingrained that it has become subconscious. They have become managers who have been tasked with liquidating national sovereignty, collecting bonuses based on how fast they carry out this task.
Thus, the Algorithm works to destroy the West — its political systems, its economies, its populations… But what for? Is this some bizarre analogue of an autoimmune disorder? Is the Algorithm a parasite that is blindly killing its host — as parasites often do?
Here we arrive at the central paradox. It is paradoxical enough to blow the minds of many a conspiracy theorist. If the Algorithm is so intelligent that it is able to control just about everything, then why does it make blatantly disastrous decisions? Why is it depriving Europe of cheap Russian gas and destroying the German automotive and chemical industries, thereby triggering the deindustrialization of an entire continent?
Here is what is central to this paradox: the Algorithm itself lacks agency. This follows from the fact that its actions defy any rational logic — specifically, the logic of self-interest. To drive full speed toward a military conflict with Russia while knowing full well that the outcome will be disastrous is to be planing one’s own suicide.
The Algorithm has forced the West’s bureaucracies and political establishments to morph into a giant autoimmune virus. They attack their own industrial organs — such as the energy, machine-building and metallurgical sectors—because their ideological code, written in the 1990s and 2000s, makes no provision for a paradigm shift. Its sorry denizens still sincerely believe they are saving the “liberal world order,” unable to notice that this order is already in ruins.
To make such an observation would require a modicum of strategic thinking. But they can only think in terms of minute details, such as electoral and fiscal cycles, reporting to Brussels, meeting quotas, and utilizing budgets. They are incapable of thinking in terms of what’s needed for national survival over a fifty-year horizon. That is not what the Algorithm selected them for. A Euro-bureaucrat doesn’t have to care about such things. By the time Europe finally turns into an open-air museum, he will have already secured a position at a Washington think tank or on the board of directors of a transnational company.
The home of the Algorithm is undeniably the United States. All of the EU is under foreign occupation. It is not the classic military occupation involving tanks on the streets of European capitals. It is an occupation maintained through security architecture and financial protocols.
• In the military sphere: NATO’s eastward expansion is not about “defending democracy.” It is a classic case of tweaking the tiger’s tail — a move orchestrated by the US to drive a permanent wedge between Europe and Eurasia. Washington’s ultimate geopolitical nightmare is a union of German technology and Russian resources. Such an alliance would create a self-sufficient power center that would have no need for American protection. To prevent this, the US has forced Europe to abandon Russian energy supplies — even going so far as to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines. As the result, Europe has fallen into total energy dependence on American LNG, which costs three to four times more. This is a nightmare scenario, but European politicians are physically incapable of ignoring Washington’s wishes. A European politician’s entire career has conditioned him to answer not to voters, but to American NGOs. All command structures, logistics, and intelligence operations are tethered to the US.
• In the financial sphere — and this is the crucial part — the moment a European leader dares to speak a word about peace with Russia or pragmatic relations with it, the US Treasury Department steps in. Europe voluntarily surrendered its financial sovereignty by agreeing to the weaponization of the dollar and the SWIFT system. Now, every European bank trembles in fear of Washington’s sanctions. The US is pursuing a policy of blatant economic cannibalism: it has provoked a crisis in Europe so that European capital — including giants like Volkswagen or BASF — are forced to flee across the Atlantic to save its assets, where they are snapped up by American corporations for pennies on the dollar. It is a masterpiece of predatory management: eliminating a competitor with the competitor’s help.
This is not a conspiracy. This is being done openly, for all to see. But the average person loves conspiracy theories. We want to believe that secretive, nefarious actors are at work, masterminding evil plans for world domination. For some, this is actually a comforting thought. It offers the illusion that the world has a master — someone with whom one can negotiate or whom one can dream of overthrowing. It is more comfortable than the reality, which is that nobody is in control.
Conspiracy is obsolete. Why hide inside Masonic lodges when you can openly lobby for your financial interests through the WTO, the IMF, climate summits and so on? A “secret world government” is a fantasy invented to entertain those who don’t know how to interpret financial reports or stock prospectuses.
The real puppet masters do not hide. They publish their plans in open letters to shareholders. They sit on the boards of directors of major corporations. They fund election campaigns — quite legally, through Super-PACs and the like. Secrecy was needed in the 19th century. In the 21st century, power is so absolute that it has no need to hide. It operates through open institutions, legal precedents, and stock trading algorithms. You cannot stage a revolution against someone who controls your entire life.
Are you now thinking that perhaps Larry Fink of BlackRock rules the world? No, Larry Fink doesn’t rule the world either. The world is unknowingly ruled by his shareholders. Yet they hardly fit the mold of villainous members of a secret society. They really care about just one thing: preservation and growth of their capital. Larry Fink is simply a mouthpiece for this entire collective, whose sole remaining motivation and source of pain is the future of debt-based capital. Fink heads BlackRock—an entity managing $15 trillion. That figure exceeds the GDP of every European nation.
Yet Fink is not any sort of “ruler”. He is more of a shaman or a high priest serving the Algorithm. And what drives the Algorithm is the raw, emotional dependency of people who hate to lose money. This gives Fink the ability to influence the policies of major corporations. BlackRock holds significant stakes in many corporations, among them:
• Apple Inc. (AAPL) — ~$290B+ managed value
• NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) — ~$336B+ managed value
• Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) — ~$220B+ managed value
• Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) — ~$153B+ managed value
• Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL/GOOG) — ~$233B+ combined managed
When Fink pens his annual letter to the CEOs of global corporations, advocating the adoption of this or that corporate agenda, it is no mere request. It is an order backed by the threat of capital withdrawal and a subsequent decrease in share prices which no corporate CEO or board of directors can ignore.
The second-largest fund is Vanguard with $13.3 trillion in assets under management. If BlackRock is an aggressive battering ram, then Vanguard is a financial singularity. Fink can sign a memorandum with Zelensky on the “reconstruction of Ukraine” — that is, the privatization of formerly Ukrainian fertile black soil and lithium deposits. Meanwhile, Vanguard is always lurking in the shadows. Its structure is unique—and terrifying. Vanguard is not owned by shareholders; it is owned by its own funds, and those funds are owned by investors. It is a colossal financial Ouroboros — a serpent devouring its own tail. It cannot be driven into bankruptcy without destroying the entire dollar-based system.
Vanguard has no ultimate beneficiary. There is no oligarch to arrest, no Rothschild or Rockefeller family to hold accountable. It is a self-regulating financial robot. Like a black hole that gobbles up stars, Vanguard snaps up controlling stakes in the global economy through index funds. In corporate boardrooms, it votes in lockstep with BlackRock, forming a tacit cartel that directly controls over $18 trillion of the global economy and can call the shots in much of the rest. These two financial entities are, essentially, mathematical models that have grown to a scale that dwarfs the biosphere.
And now, finally, we can begin to understand the fundamental reason for the current global conflict. Forget about “democracy versus autocracy,” “Russia’s imperial ambitions,” “resisting Russian aggression” and other pablum that CNN and BBC are trying to feed you. The conflict is existential because global capital is incapable of tolerating the existence of spaces from which it is excluded. This inability results directly from the collective aspirations of investors, who are themselves products of the modern debt-based economy. This modern debt-based economy is violently devouring its own future by generating a massive mountain of debt that is calculated against, and structured around, future profits from acquisitions that are by no means certain.
As we all know, the Western financial system is based on the premise of infinite expansion. It is a debt pyramid that will collapse soon after it stops absorbing new markets and consuming new resources. Over the past 30 years, this Algorithm has consumed Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America. It has privatized everything it could get at. Yet, a massive, resource-rich white spot has remained on its map. Any attempt by the Algorithm to devour it triggers a fatal error. This white spot is the Russian Federation. In the 1990s, the Algorithm made some inroads into Russia through Production Sharing Agreements and other ploys. But in the 2000s, Russia committed a cardinal sin: it revoked access rights. It nationalized strategic sectors, reclaimed control over its natural resources, and told the Algorithm: “Your rules don’t apply here. Here, sovereignty prevails.” For BlackRock, Vanguard, and the Washington establishment, this is not merely a geopolitical issue. It is an existential threat to the very nature of Western capital.
Russia possesses the world’s most complete inventory of natural resources along with fresh water, forests, pasture, farmland and huge, yet to be explored resources of oil, gas and coal. Within the logic of the Algorithm, these resources are misused because they have not been monetized and securitized into derivatives by Western investment funds. The Algorithm believes it has a right to own them simply by virtue of the fact that it has the right to own everything.
Therefore, the Algorithm has already incorporated them into its body of debt. An investment fund may not actually own assets — such as land, natural resources, or, say, video cards that haven’t even been designed yet — and can still issue shares backed by these assets and sell them quite successfully. The buyer takes a risk, of course — but if it pays off in the end, then it would have been worth the gamble. That is what they did with land in the Ukraine and in Kazakhstan—and they did the same with Russian assets. When the USSR collapsed, they issued lots of speculative debt which hasn’t gone away. It weighs on them and compels them to keep the war going. Even though BlackRock and other funds do not own Russia’s assets, speculative debt capital has already been pegged to them and their continued inaccessibility is already exacerbating the instability of the global financial bubble.
That is precisely why Russia need only stick to the objectives of its Special Military Operation for the global financial order — the Algorithm — to collapse of its own accord. Russia is an insurgency, and insurgencies do not have to win wars in order to win; they just have to not lose. But Russia is actually winning — painfully slowly, by some people’s reasoning — but relentlessly. Since the beginning of 2026, Russian forces liberated over 5000 square kilometers of territory and over 220 population centers.
Ultimately, it is not even about Russia’s resources themselves. It is about the precedent Russia has set. Russia presents a highly subversive example for the rest of the world — the Global South, BRICS, the Arab world. Russia’s example shows that if you have the resources and an army, then you can tell global capital to go and get stuffed — and survive. If Russia holds firm, the entire house of cards will begin to collapse. China, India, and Saudi Arabia will see that the door can be slammed right in the face of the “collective Larry Fink.”
This is a situation that the Algorithm cannot abide. That is precisely why Europe is being forced to commit economic suicide. That is precisely why the US military-industrial complex is running hot. And that is precisely why human potential is being incinerated in the former Ukraine. Europe is merely expendable material — a malleable piece of metal between the hammer of American capital and the anvil of Russian sovereignty. This is not a war over values. It is an attempt to work an unsolvable mathematical equation driven by the insatiable greed of American investors large and small.
