Iran is ready to fight off US ground forces

US aircraft carriers have moved further away – over 600 kilometres away- so the carrier borne aircraft are not taking much part in the bombing of Iran, other than with Tomahawks.
The Gerald Ford is suffering from serious maintenance problems, including its sewage system. There is no other carrier avilable to replace it.
Will the US fleet be down to one carrier, the Abraham Lincoln. The operations has cost the US $5 billion in 5 days. If same rate of burn, 100 days will burn $100 billion.
This may require a request to Congress…..
