Syria is waking to the evil perpetrated by the US/Israel and could possibly be the next to be liberated.

I had a close friend in the US who married a colonel in the US army. He was around 50 at that time (she and I were younger) and was serving in Kuwait. They came to visit me and I stayed with them there. I also stayed with them in the US after his retirement.
I didn’t much like him from the start because he seemed boastful and not very bright but I told myself that I must be wrong about that if he was a colonel in the army. However, as time went on, I realised my first impression was right and my friend and I lost touch as he managed to alienate all the friends she had.
I don’t know if he is an example of the people who sign up for service, but maybe not.
The phrase ‘ military inteligence’ always was a contradiction in terms. The US strategy is total destruction of the whole Middle East, reducing Iran to rubble – Europe into depression and the rest of the world, while only the US will have home grown energy and resources, and be left as the only centre of power remaining. Somehow this strategy will probably come unstuck along the way but millions could starve before a new balance is established. Your friend’s husband was probably a pedo. They like wars as many unprotected children fall into their clutches – Epstein and Trump’s pathway to destruction.
No whatever I thought about him, he certainly wasn’t a paedo. He just wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.
