‘Boil in a bag’ funerals come to Britain

If you have seen the film Soylent Green you’ll know this will probably not end very well. It’s one step away from cannibalism.

The lunatics are running the asylum, the world has gone mad
How could anybody think that this is a good idea? Cremation and burial are ancient methods, why do we need a new one?
Especially given that chemicals are involved and that the soylent green will end up in the environment. Our local sewage corporation already pollutes rivers with faecal matter. So it clearly can’t be trusted to deal with this safely
Spot on, Pete. In my view of the world, cremation by fire is the method that best deals with a body we no longer need.
When a friend’s mother died, instead of having a funeral, her body was just added to the local crematorium’s daily burn, which is my choice.
When people get emotional about the boxes of remains they receive, nobody knows what they are. It’s like choosing a piece of meat to mince; you only get what was left in the mincer from the last operation. Your prime filet steak is likely going into the next batch when they mince up some dross for mass consumption.
