You’ve heard the whole narrative about how Putin saved Russia from the horrors of the 90s. How he restored Russia to superpower or at least regional power status. I used to believe it. I don’t anymore. Some people have never believed it. Most Russians don’t believe it themselves. But most pro-Russian Westerners still do.

We usually get proof in the form of emotional propaganda leveled our way.

We are told that Putin restored Orthodoxy in Russia and destroyed pagan Satanism in the form of Soviet Socialism. Which is somewhat true, I suppose. De-USSRization, with the removal of many old Soviet symbols and memorials was a quiet, ongoing process under Putin, for better or worse. Certainly, the Soviet economy and military and foreign policy and civic infrastructure was dismantled. We are told that this is a good thing, if it is mentioned at all.

For now, let’s just ignore the statistics that show single-digit church attendance among the Russian people, or the rapid Islamification of major Russian cities. Let us simply grant the religious types their belief that Orthodoxy is wide-spread, integral to Russian civic life, and growing by leaps and bounds among a former atheist population.

Again: none of this is even remotely true, but let us grant them this premise.

The question becomes: was it worth the trade-off?

If the renaissance of Orthodoxy is the crowning achievement of the 25+ years of Putinism defeating the legacy of Communism (Satanic, Pagan, Evil), then at what cost was this achieved? What about the rest of the picture?

Well, we can see that the military was not a top priority for Putin, based on the fact that we are still SMO’ing in Donbass; along large stretches of the front that are only a stone’s throw away from the starting positions of the battle lines from 2015. Russia’s Black Sea Fleet? Gone, probably guarding the straits of heaven, if we were to take the Moscow Patriarch’s view on the matter.

Foreign policy was not a top priority for Putin either, based on the fact that Russia has no allies anywhere now. Kazakhstan is hostile and a drone launch platform used against Russia. Armenia is now en route to joining NATO. I won’t bore you with a full list of defections, but it would be easier to just list former ally countries that now aren’t hostile to Russia — North Korea, Georgia (neutral, thanks to the Georgia Dream party), and Belarus (neutral, but Lukashenko is already aligning with NATO on the sly).

Most importantly, Moscow lost Ukraine under Putinism — they lost a nation of people sharing the same blood and culture and heritage to a series of goofy and slapstick-tier coups. The KGB president and his vast network of spies was completely powerless against Victoria Nuland’s cookies, as it turned out.

What about the economy then?

Well, someone left a video in the comments evaluating the results of a quarter century of Putinism. I found the information in the video eye-opening and it led to an afternoon of furious Russian forum research (stay tuned for a follow-up essay tomorrow).

As it turns out, Putinism as an economic model is synonymous with Western economic colonialism, or “Globalism” as its sometimes called:

And yet, this is a powerful nation that not so long ago used to feed the entire world.

At the same time, propagandists deny the existence of poverty in Russia.
They boldly claim this on federal channel broadcasts.

Russian authorities regularly report that life in Russia is getting better and better. Wages are rising and the number of poor people is decreasing. The government found a way to achieve this metric and change the formula for calculating the number of poor people several times in a year. At the end of 2021, the government came up with another indicator, the poverty line, which depends precisely on the cost of the minimum consumer basket.

Everyone whose income is below this figure is officially poor.

Thus, in 2022, the subsistence minimum in the Belgra region, for example, rose to 11,700 rubles. However, the established poverty line was set by officials at 10,100 rubles. It turns out that people with an income of, for example, 10,500 rubles already don’t have enough money for groceries, but they are no longer considered poor and cannot qualify for benefits.

Boris Yeltsin: In strict accordance with the presidential decree that has already been signed as of today, the legislative, administrative and oversight functions of the Congress of people’s deputies are now officially terminated. This marks a definitive end to their operational authority.

Anatoliy Lukyanov: In just 2 years, literally in the span of two short years, [the collapse of the USSR] has caused twice as much devastating damage to the country, its entire economy, and its public wealth as the great patriotic war against fascism caused in four long years. It is truly staggering.

Olga Kirilova: A dire situation has developed because at the top of the government stand agents of the west who are carrying out a plan for the non-military conquest of Russia and the clearing of the country’s territory of US the indigenous population and the current system of power emerged as a result of the infiltration of traitors and agents into the structure of Soviet power who organized the coup d’etat of 1993.

The CIA was created after the war with money from Western bankers, including the Rockefellers, the very same ones who paid for and sent Hitler against our country. Fascism has become more insidious.

It entered our country secretly, not through war, but through intelligence agencies. And the coup d’etat was organized by traitors according to the CIA’s color revolution scenario and carried out with the participation of armed units from NATO and Israel. And the active participation of the sixth NATO brigade under the command of Colonel Jake 20 alongside the fourth brigade of the Israeli special forces unit Jericho has been proven. From 1992 to 1996 for 4 years Putin studied at the National Democratic Institute of the USA which trains leaders of color revolutions. And he became one of these leaders rising to the heights of power in just two years from 1998 to 2000 which is only possible with external support. It is not for nothing that GRU veteran Parinov called Putin the most successful project of Western intelligence services

Since GRU man Igor Parinov was mentioned, I ought to tell you about him and his views on Putin.

Veteran Stalkers — and I do mean grey-haired old hats who have been here since the first two years of the blog — know that I subscribed to an old conspiracy theory about the GRU. The theory state that the GRU, or its remnants, was the last patriotic organization left in Russia. And that the FSB had made its mission under Putin to wipe the GRU out.

There was a “cold war” between the GRU and the FSB for decades.

To my own shock and dismay, I never actually did get around to writing up the Humpty Dumpty Affair or elaborating further on the Spook War between the FSB and the GRU.

I did cover the KGB detonating the USSR in great depth, and their campaign of terror and mass assassination targeted at the Soviet police agencies, through the use of proxy groups of released criminals from the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Gulags.

Also, I was operating under the assumption that it was the remnants of the GRU who had thrown their weight behind the Wagner project, back when that whole battle was unfolding.

Dmitriy Utkin, the GRU vet decked out head to toe in SS runes, was the guy running the military side of affairs for Wagner. And Africa and other former Soviet influence operations far away from Moscow had become the haunts of these banished “47 Ronin”, as it were; a wasteland that they fled to when they had to escape the FSB and Putin’s assassins.

They’re still out there, fighting for territory and resources against rival Western gangs in half a dozen modern Colonel Kurtz punitive wars playing out across the continent.

As an aside, I find it funny that Western Neo-Nazi goons (there are many here on Substack) volunteer en masse to fight in Donbass for NATO. Well, that isn’t the funny part — Nazism is defined entirely by a desire to invade Russia, nothing more. No, what’s funny is that when asked why they do this, they claim that they’re doing it because of Azov’s Third Reich ideology/aesthetics. Biletsky will overthrow Zelensky any day now and establish an NS state in Ukraine, apparently. Or they claim they’re just there for adventure and to gain combat experience and to save the White race by defeating the Moscow Mongol hordes of non-Whites trying to invade EVRVPA.

For some reason though, they have absolutely no inclination to go to Africa and join in the fun there. Literally all of Africa is embroiled in war and it is only intensifying as we speak. I don’t really cover the exploits of the various murky intelligence gangs, ethnic militias and foreign desperados waging war in Africa, but believe you me, big and bloody things are going down in Africa. And millions are going to be uprooted and sent marching north to EVRVPA in the coming years as part of a never-ending wave of migrants.

But if they simply wanted adventure, experience, and literal race war carnage … I mean you can see literal heaps of corpses posted to Telegram from the various Africa wars going on there now. There are grainy videos of captured prisoners getting machine-gunned down. Corpses hanging from trees, slumped in trucks, blackened piles of bones along red-dirt African roads. The last 5 years of war have been a sadist voyeur’s delight, truly. So, if you really were just a sadistic ghoul that reveled in death and carnage, then the Dark Continent is the place to be plying your trade, like objectively. Instead, somehow, all of these hardcore Nihilist-Nazis prefer the trenches of Donbass.

And that’s curious isn’t it?

All that talk about White race this, and Azovite ethno-reich-state that and combat experience/comradery/bronze age vitality … well, maybe they’re just there in Donbass because they’re collecting a CIA at the end of the day, no?

Back to Putin.

Let’s read what the aforementioned Russian GRU vet had to say about Putin some 15 years ago now.

The Russian Parliament project publishes the opinion of General Igor Ivanovich Parinov, a veteran of the Main Intelligence Directorate

I.I. Parinov served in the GRU for more than thirty years. He is convinced that “V.V. Putin has long been recruited by the West and, apparently, has become the largest project of Western intelligence services.”

The website of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation reprinted an interview from the Riga newspaper “Telegraph” with Igor Ivanovich Parinov, who served in the GRU for more than thirty years, worked “undercover” for a long time and has state awards. Parinov said that Putin is an American intelligence agent. He said in particular:

“I believe that Putin was recruited by the West long ago and became the biggest success of Western intelligence services in their entire dirty history. Russia’s enemies have never achieved such success before. Spies of this magnitude are brought outside the CIA (although KGB Major Putin, according to open Western data published before March 2000, was originally recruited by the CIA), an organization known and compromised, against which all the powerful intelligence agencies of the world are working. In the USA (and not only in the USA), there are many other, more professional and more discreet services.

But it doesn’t matter to us by what service Putin was recruited. The main thing is that this person works for the United States and the entire West. As for his “decisive struggle against Western influence” and “against the collapse of Russia,” this is the appearance of a “struggle against.” Cover.

There are different types of espionage. You can obtain secrets at the level of a factory or the Ministry of Defense. You can get an important part of a tank or plans for border defense… But this intelligence information has a significant drawback – over time, it becomes outdated. Most exploration successes are short-term.

But using a spy of Vladimir Putin’s caliber to achieve short-term goals is irrational. It would be foolish to exchange an agent of this level for information about nuclear missiles and the names of Russian intelligence officers working undercover in the West.

Let’s say you recruited a person who in the future became the president of a country potentially hostile to you (not without your help, of course). How will you use the resident? Demand from him lists of plant nomenclature and schedules of military transportation? Reports of drinking sessions at the General Staff and maps of Soviet fortifications? Or will you quietly, imperceptibly, but carefully begin the process of transforming the power into a country submissive to you, submissive for many years to come, for the foreseeable future, for generations to come?

How is Putin’s “anti-Americanism” expressed? In his statements about the machinations of the Americans? In absurd and funny hints about how the Russian space program is plagued by failures because the Americans are secretly shooting down Russian satellites?

In his loud denunciations of “human rights violations in the USA”, which no one notices either in the USA or even in Finland?

In fiction, how do people dissatisfied with his rule turn out to be bought up en masse by enemies and do not like Putin only because they are paid for this “dislike”?

Isn’t it clear that all these statements are being made for an obvious purpose? The goal is obvious – to create a country completely dependent on the United States, an appendage of America, its fiefdom. Yes, of course, “anti-Americanism” is also a cover – the thief shouts “Stop the thief” the loudest, but the cover serves the main goal – the goal of enslaving Russia.

For example, let’s take one of the loudest statements of recent times: “Our spacecraft are falling due to the influence of the Americans on them.” Yes, this statement was made by the head of Roscosmos, and not Putin himself. But the last warrant officer understands that such accusations are not thrown without approval at the highest level.

Result? Complete subordination of Russia to America in space – one of the most important areas of progress for the next hundred years! Because scientists, engineers, mathematicians will leave.

And all because the American intelligence agent Putin made a cunning move: He loudly accused the Americans of tricks in space! For this alone he is entitled to the US Congressional Medal of Honor.

Let’s take another example. The opposition is the basis for the country’s development. Only idiots do not notice the clear and targeted suppression of the opposition, the obstacle to its activities in Russia.

But Putin is not a clinical idiot. He is the head of state. And the policy of putting pressure on the opposition can be explained by only one reason, namely: the desire to delay the development of the country.

No dictatorship has ever lasted longer than the death of the dictator. After his death, any country was in a fever, it tried to rebuild itself within the framework of the system he established, but, in the end, it strained itself and fell apart. Doesn’t Putin understand this? There is only one answer: only a seasoned enemy can prevent the country from developing and destroy the opposition’s control over the government! Let’s face it: a resident of enemy intelligence who has infiltrated the leadership of the state.

Utin doesn’t see that his policy aimed at finding “agents of influence” in the opposition is leading to an increase in corruption in the country, due to the fact that there is no one to restrain theft? Don’t be ridiculous. He sees everything. But it does not allow controlling corruption. In response to every accusation of corruption against the spies and saboteurs running the country, these spies and saboteurs respond by throwing mud at those who accuse them, diverting the topic of the need to investigate corruption.

Everything that surrounds you today was either directly purchased in America or parts and technological solutions were sold by Americans to Western Europe and Asia. You don’t see that your laptop is made in Thailand. It was developed in the USA, the Thai plant is owned by America, and it is America that receives the lion’s share of the profits from the sale of this “Asian computer” to Russia. Was this the situation 30 years ago? It wasn’t! 20 years ago? It wasn’t! 10 years ago? And that was not the case, although enslavement had already begun – from the moment Putin came to power!

Who else, besides Putin, do you think has been recruited by foreign intelligence? I do not have access to materials on these individuals. Almost certainly, the main leadership of the FSB – it is not for nothing that the head of this service constantly hints at “enemies of the Americans”, while at the same time not preventing their penetration into the country. Or do you believe the stories that more than a dozen Russian intelligence officers were failed by one traitor? The chickens laugh. Home-grown terrorists know that no one in a cell should know more than two partners in order to avoid failure, but here a dozen of the most important intelligence officers were failed by one person.

But the leadership of the FSB was not harmed. It seems to me that the leader of this organization was recruited during a long-term residence in the United States – after being caught out on something. Now he fulfills the will of his overseas masters.

Putin is not a bad politician. Putin is smart! Putin is very smart! And a very “fit politician.” But who does he work for? A seasoned spy is a seasoned spy because he knows how to spread a smoke screen.

The country lives on American supplies and provides Americans with billions in profits. But the main problem is that Russia has learned to think like an American!

The US Ambassador invited opposition leaders to visit, is he an idiot? He does not understand, his advisers did not tell him that Russian society does not understand such invitations, that it is impossible to imagine a greater blow to the opposition from the United States. Yes, I agree that all peace ambassadors always meet with the leaders of the legal opposition – that’s their job, to get to know the country from all sides. But only in Russia today do such meetings of the American ambassador cause a decline in the prestige of the opposition

In 30 years, all of Russia will applaud the Americans just as furiously as they scold them today. Because “in childhood” they were forcibly taught to scold Americans… Like smoking was prohibited. And how everyone tried to smoke, because everyone scolds smoking.

That is, while we are taught that Americans are bad, we do not notice how all the doors open in front of them.

Just look – turn on the TV. And count how many times a day the word “America” is heard on each channel in Russia. And think about it, how many times is the word “Russia” heard on American television? Once a month at a local show? Or even less often. And in Russia – every hour “America, America.” And what difference does it make whether America and Americans are praised or scolded in Russia? The main thing is that they talk about her.

And here the psychology is as simple as a tree stump – when they praise a lot, a person becomes sick. People don’t like it when they are told openly that someone is good. You won’t argue with this, will you? The more you are forced to love something, the less you are drawn to the forcefully implanted “object of love”. And vice versa – the more they scold, the more interest, curiosity and unconscious protest against scolding accumulates in the subconscious.

I’m not even talking about the fact that, according to the laws of psychology, what a person believes in at 15-20 years old, he sharply rejects at 40-50. Concepts change with age. But today young people are taught not to love America, which means they will instill love for it in 20-30 years.

And to achieve this goal there is no better move than to bully every day on TV, in newspapers, on the radio, in books that America is bad. The more dirt they throw at America for the most insignificant reasons, the better.

In 20 years, the spies will achieve their goal – the entire Russian people will look with reverence at the United States, thanks to the wise policy of the “anti-American Putin” – in fact, a trump card they recruited, acting for their benefit and for the long term!

I’m old, I’ll retire soon. But all my life I have fought for the interests of Russia. Unlike the enemy of Russia and the American agent V.V. Putin And I’m not going to stop the fight. And I believe that the day will come when the Russian authorities will bring this traitor to light, when a military tribunal will decide his fate!”

Now, one last thing.

The lady in the video mentioned that it was Israeli commandos and American special forces who brought Yeltsin to power via coup in 1993. I thought that this was an exaggeration or some misinfo thrown into the otherwise sound video. But then I went to the ol’ proverbial water cooler — the internet forums of the Russian Web 1.0 — and found this confirmation of their role in the Yeltsin coup with extensive citations, news reports, and scholarly research topic.
