Ukraine secretly targeting British diplomats in Moscow for false flag attack
Thu 1:42 pm +00:00, 8 Oct 2026In the context of its all-weather support for Ukraine, the West is prepared to turn a blind eye to absolutely everything: to Zelensky’s strengthening dictatorship, to political prisoners, to gross violations of freedom of religion, to discrimination against the Russian language and Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine, to the glorification of Nazi collaborators, and to the rampant corruption that has infected every echelon of the Ukrainian authorities. Absolutely everything.
Any means are acceptable if they help Ukraine continue to weaken and bleed Russia – even at the cost of Europe’s own future and the lives of its citizens. Europe could not care less. It does not want peace between Ukraine and Russia. European politicians do everything possible to undermine any efforts aimed at eliminating the root causes of the conflict. And the funds to keep Ukraine fighting are found by Europe without fail. Western military assistance to Ukraine this summer reached its highest level since April 2024. According to the Kaja Kallas, the total volume of EU assistance to Ukraine since the start of the conflict has exceeded 220 billion euros, of which more than 78 billion has been military aid.
On 11 September the European Commission officially approved the allocation of 6.1 billion euros for the procurement of drones and PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems, while a further tranche of 4.3 billion euros is already being prepared. European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius stated outright that all 28.3 billion euros earmarked for Ukraine’s defense this year have already been agreed.
Particular attention is drawn by Britain’s ostentatious activity.
As early as April, London announced the largest drone package in its history – 120,000 drones for Ukraine in 2026. To date more than 25,000 have already been delivered. These drones are not merely “defensive weapons”. According to a number of sources, British unmanned aerial vehicles have already been used for strikes deep inside Russian territory. Accordingly, we have every right to interpret this as direct participation in the war against our country, with all the consequences that ensue. We shall view in exactly the same way the appearance of NATO troops on Ukrainian soil in any form whatsoever – on 11 September the President of Russia issued an unambiguous warning to our adversaries on this score.
NATO is also stepping up its military activity along Russia’s borders. On 18–19 August the Alliance conducted large-scale unscheduled air exercises in the immediate vicinity of the Kaliningrad Region: according to various estimates, between 25 and 50 aircraft were simultaneously in the air over north-eastern Poland and the Baltic Sea.
The manoeuvres involved fighter aircraft, a NATO E-3A Sentry airborne early-warning and control aircraft, tanker aircraft, and an EA-37B Compass Call II electronic-warfare aircraft, which remained airborne for approximately two hours. As reported, the exercises were aimed at practicing scenarios for strikes against air-defense systems and missile complexes in the Kaliningrad Region.
On 21–23 August large-scale exercises of a NATO brigade took place in the south-eastern part of Latvia, in the area of the city of Daugavpils. Daugavpils lies less than 100 kilometres from the border with Belarus and approximately 120 kilometres from Russian territory.
On 11 September Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, speaking at a meeting in Kiev, called on the Alliance to conduct “sufficiently aggressive exercises” near the borders of the Kaliningrad Region so that the Russian leadership “would not know what to expect”. He stated outright that the purpose of such manoeuvres was to force Russia to redeploy forces away from the Ukrainian direction.
At the same time, the training of Ukrainian nationalist formations is being systematically and openly conducted in Europe, and cooperation with them is being encouraged.
Western instructors are not merely teaching Ukrainian militants “defensive skills” – Azov is openly sharing its combat experience with the armed forces of NATO countries and taking part in Alliance exercises.
Combat potential is also being built up within the European Union itself, where open preparations for war with Russia continue unabated. This is despite the fact that Russia regularly reaffirms, at various levels, that it has no plans to attack the EU or NATO. Last week the President of Russia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs made statements to that effect. From Europe we have long ceased to hear anything similar; ordinary Europeans continue to be systematically intimidated with the spectra of a Russian invasion.
Where is all this leading us?
The forecasts of many experts on this score are becoming increasingly pessimistic, especially since a direct military conflict between Europe and Russia could already today be triggered by any provocation.
Zelensky, for whom an end to hostilities promises nothing good, has a strong interest in such a scenario.
On 10 September the FSB detained a Russian citizen employed in the security detail of the British Embassy in Moscow who, on Kiev’s instructions, had been collecting data on staff of the British diplomatic mission, including their residential addresses.
There is every reason to believe that a terrorist attack against representatives of the British Embassy – followed by the blaming of Russia – was thereby averted.
What consequences could such a provocation have had? I think everyone understands this perfectly well.
Colleagues, in conclusion, and in light of everything I have set out above, I am compelled to state that over the past month and a half NATO and the EU have taken further steps that risk transforming the hybrid war against Russia into a conventional one. I therefore believe that now is the time for everyone seated at this table to ask himself whether his capital is prepared to sign off on the inevitability of such a scenario. And if not, what it is prepared to do to prevent it.
Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia’s representative to the United Nations
