EU cuts off power to Transdniestria. They can go ‘green’.
Sat 10:23 pm +00:00, 4 Jan 2025There will be wind power and hydroelectric power in transdniestria with powerful water flows capable of thousands of megawatts. russia must ship in the necessary turbines.
A 10 kilowatt water turbine installation generates 250 kwh in 24 hours. 400 of those – plenty. one every two hundred metres – along main rivers. not impossible. demand probably only 250 megawatts required for small population. wind turbine with all military equipment is standard these days.
400 well sited 10 kwh wind turbines would do it. Turkey sells them.
Population in Transdniestria could be about 400,000. UK claims 70 million. In fact 90 million is nearer current total. Peak UK power consumption is 45 gigawatts (45 X 1000 X kwhs). Peak in Trandniestria might be 200,000 megawatts. That would need 2,000 10 Kwh turbines either wind or hydro installed. That is not actually very many.
- Dniester RiverA transboundary river that flows through Moldova and Ukraine. The Dniester is navigable for about 750 miles and has many tributaries, including the Stryi, Svicha, Limnytsia, Bystrytsia, Răut, Ichel, Bîc, and Botna. The Dniester frequently floods, causing extensive damage to settled areas.
- Kuchurhan RiverA tributary of the Turunchuk, a branch of the Dniester. The Kuchurhan is 109 kilometers (68 mi) long and forms part of the border between Transnistria and Ukraine’s Odesa Oblast. A dam on the Kuchurhan forms the Cuciurgan Reservoir.
