Turkiye (Erdogan) has allowed a terror group into their midst.
Sat 12:19 am +00:00, 14 Dec 2024 3This will have long term consequences. Jordan, Saudi and Emirates, US regional allies, are worried at what Turkiye has done. The victory of terrorism in Syria will encourage other extremists in neighbouring countries to imitate what ISIS is doing in Syria. Regional powers will want this demon put back in its box. This is not a popular takeover by public opinion. No one wants Erdogan’s extremist groups.
Syria was hollowed out, brought to their knees economically and starving. US stole Syria’s oil and grain. The dirty war against terrorist groups used up a lot of energy. So did Israeli bombing. Poverty increases corruption, which sanctions made worse and worse. It reminds Marandi of Nicaragua, where terror was used to take over civil society.
Erdogan is not Turkey. He’s a tragedy, like Netanyahu is destroying Israel. Erdogan, like Netanyahu is out for himself. And the Turkish people will pay the price. The deligitimisation of Israel in the eyes of the world is highly significant. When the world sees you as racist murderers, you can’t buy back your reputation. Erdogan has made the same mistake thinking gaining territory makes him into a success, when he’s a total tragedy for humanity, a willing tool of the Satanists.
Turkey has a Sufist tradition similar to Iran but the country is deteriorating.
Hezbollah’s strength is still intact. Iran can get supplies through to there still. As Iran was able to supply Yemen despite US blockade. Hamas managed to get supplies. Hezbollah’s reputation has raised through the roof.
The world now is far more aware than it was. People are much more awake than they were. A bit down and depressed, which they should put aside. There is a lot of work to do, and we can’t afford the luxury of being down and depressed.
Khameini’s speech – worth listening. Iran tried to help Syria but the land routes were blocked – Turkey, US and Israel working as one. Netanyahu, Erdogan and the Americans.
Saudi policy now is very different to Saudi policy five years ago. Saudi set up Wahabbist schools in Syria teaching extremism. Would not do that today but it has had an effect. Poverty is Syria meant people were trying to survive, and had no fight in them.
Erdogan supported ISIS, Al Qaeda in wrecking Syria. Sending tens of thousands of foreign fighters from across the world. All the Mujahiddin from Pakistan and Afghanistan were sent to Istanbul.
Iran is going to attack Israel to weaken Israel. Inevitable and much more devastating. The Israelis won’t win. If Americans get involved, the American bases will be taken out in the region, and they will lose all their gas and oil assets. Gas will go through the roof – maybe $20 a gallon in the US. This will bring down the world economy.
Do not underestimate Iran’s capabilities. Turkey’s economy is already very weak. Lots on internal strife. Erdogan will get overstretched if he goes into Iraq. Iraq is a much stronger country than it was, and it is an Iranian ally. The Jihadists are not big in number, smaller than the Syrian army which was bought off. Iraq is not weak as Syria had become. The euphoria will soon be over in Syria for the supposed victors.
Will Trump attack Iran? Does he want calmness or war? Qatar is giving a lot of money to Turkey. Saudi has relations with Saudi Arabia. Qatar should be careful, allowing extremist sentiments to be expressed.

Excellent post Henry. I’m starting to see whats happening out there. Not so sure what’s happening and going to happen in Britain.
My feelings exactly Ian. They will use terror groups anywhere if it helps their plans. Once you play that game you end up as a victim yourself of the terror you unleash. In the meantime many innocents lose their lives. He’s a really good exponent of the Middle East having long experience and being one himself. He understands the emotional side/good vs evil dimension as well as the political/military. We are witnessing a Greek tragedy hubris/nemesis of massive proportions, with the main characters all moving into place.
well put Henry.
