It’s interesting that precious metal prices fell the day after the US/China get together. China probably agreed to lower their price on physical precious metal as a goodwill gesture to the Americans (not that that will buy much time for China to ready for the coming storms), with the western banks all holding loss-making short positions on their paper traded futures markets at huge values. The gesture by the Chinese can easily be reversed if the US were later to do things to upset their Chinese hosts.
The US is a vast debtor nation. China a creditor nation. The US exercises military power and threat. China can put on pressure by selling US Treasuries and restricting supply of especially silver, but also gold. Precious metals are a part of the strategic picture.
Never forget that paper money is/was a promissory note to exchange the paper note for silver. The dollar was a silver coin and was a day’s pay, as the shilling was also a silver coin worth a day’s pay in Britain. This was the case for centuries in most countries all over the world, since Roman times if not earlier – Greek, Egyptian, Babylonian and further back to the beginnings of civilisation.
In the British system, twenty shillings (20 days pay) were worth one pound sterling i.e. 16 ounces of 92.5% silver, which was a month’s pay for a working man until 1914. A silver coin was a day’s pay for centuries until 1914 when the link to precious metal in London was ended, and governments handed responsibility for paper money to central banks. The paper printed to this day with false promises (I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of £5 ) today is an echo of what once was a real enfrceable promise. (The £ sign is a stylised letter L, standing for Libra meaning a pound in weight, in the case of money, that is a pound in weight of silver. Libra is the same Roman word that descends into English as ‘Lb’ as in potatoes and carrots) The point is that you could at one time exchange your promissory paper for silver at a bank, until governments took away the right in The Banking Restrictions Act. Today your paper or screen money has no lasting value as governments spend beyond their means and consistently destroy paper/electronic wealth with inflation.
What was worth £1 of silver in 1914 today, in 2026 is around £3,000, a month’s pay for a working man in London. Money has halved in value about every ten years ever since the link to precious metal was removed in 2014. There were about 16 ounces of silver to one ounce of gold at that time. Today around 70 ounces. 16 ounces of silver cost about £750 today which seems cheap to me, while gold seems nor far off its traditional value at £3,000 an ounce at today’s value. Only governments and banks keep silver’s value lower than it should be using paper trading in the derivatives or futures markets. Some analysts like me believe silver needs to be revalued at some point. The supply needs to rise again as the metal is needed for its electrical properties, with the world moving over to alternative energy, electric cars and heating/cooling systems. If people took silver up again as the basis for currency £200 an ounce might be nearer the mark than today’s £43 an ounce.
Meanwhile It would be no harm to hold some silver as an investment, and a protection against inflation (or other precious metals like gold, platinum, palladium or rhodium. Silver Britannias or rounds might become useful as cash money again if electronic money and digital ID makes it hard to transact. Who would refuse a silver coin, when all else is computer or phone screen tracked transactions? You can give a coin to a kid for fun, and he/she won’t need a digital account on his/her phone.
Long term precious metals can never be worth nothing, unlike bits of paper with promises written on them, or computer screens. Longer term precious will outperform all forms of paper, or screens.

Being eight hours ahead gave me time to analyse the various newsfeeds and write something pertinent before the western world awoke. It was conventionally political writing mostly, until a reader sent in a comment suggesting I studied some videos and writings of Dr Stan Monteith of Radio Liberty in Monterrey Bay. This was 2009..
I watched these videos describing how a secret elitist Satanic Freemasonic cult planned the First World War, and orchestrated it, and also how the AIDS epidemic was no problem for the governments of the world. In fact they couldn’t get enough of it. Dr Stan’s understanding of the world was at once shocking to me, and at the same time, persuasive. I had always had doubts about history and news narratives, but with Dr Stan Monteith’s brilliant analysis, a new world view took over from my previous blissful state of ignorance. I soon found many other sources, online and in print, and the falsity of most news narratives started to become apparent.
Blogging on here since then for all that time has had its ups and downs. Revealing the Hampstead Whistleblower Kids brought hundreds of millions of visitors as the story went global, and nearly brought about the closure of the blog. Many excellent people have joined me since those days, and The Alternative View took over the running of The Tap more recently, and our unique visitor numbers today hover around the 50,000 per month mark.

Donations are very few on the blog, which is hardly surprising, although they are more than nothing, and we get regular donations from a few loyal supporters. These are a great help in meeting day to day costs, and add to the small ad revenues. Maybe we can now do better on here by selling a needed service which is in demand, yet hard to find on the high street, and bring readers some joy by revitalising their treasured older pieces (some not all that old).

Only God can remove the dark clouds from our minds and send the demons packing, with incredible speed. The good news is that help is a prayer away, and you don’t need to be religious to access the spirit world.
