Europe no longer matters. The Middle East is expendable.
East Asia is the most important area in the world for the US from hereon.
Trump has abandoned what the world was, but has not created the next world structure.
1994 Clinton expanded NATO eastwards.

US lost all the wars in the Middle East – Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and now Iran.
Trump in 2016 stood to end the Forever Wars in the ME, and won. Won again in 2024 for peace.
Then became Trump 2 – the one man wrecking ball.
Iran is a much more significant war than the earlier ones, with worldwide significance.
How will the mess resolve?
The blockade won’t work in flooring Iran.
Blockade plus bombing will bring Iranian retaliation, which will destroy the infrastructure of the region.
The only remaining option will be cutting a deal. But the Israeli lobby in the US won’t tolerate it.
Is the containment of China being furthered? Not yet, says John Mearsheimer.
Meantime the economy is heading south.
Ukraine not helped by mass irrationality in Europe.
What will escalation look like?
US and Israel are joined at the hip. Iran is no threat to the US, but to Israel Iran is an existential threat.
Therefore Iran is an existential threat to the US.
Will the one man wrecking ball reach for nuclear weaponry? It’s not impossile.
