Sat 8:45 pm +00:00, 25 Apr 2026British fighter jets – Eurofighters – have been ordered to destroy Russian drones over Ukrainian territory near the border with Romania., for the first time.

The approximately thirty to fifty drones were destroyed in the airspace of Ukraine, the drones were not targeting Romania, were destroyed not with electromagnetic counter measures, but by NATO (British) fighter aircraft.
Maybe NATO had brought some armaments over the border into Ukraine and the cargo needed defending.
The Romanian MOD revelaed the information the planes were British as if to say, it wasn’t us.

The next step for Russia could be to attack using Oreshnik.

The Iranians resisted the current ceasefire and only agreed under Chinese pressure on Iran. They did not seek this ceasefire, and they agreed to it purely under Chinese pressure. In future they will seek Russian support to avoid ceasfires if pressured by China and Pakistan. Aragchi will meet Lavrov and maybe other senior officials, and Putin.
Apart from the ceasefire the conflict between the US and Iran is at the same impasse as previously. The pro-western element within Iran has shrunk in size – more secular aspirations – but deeply patriotic and nationalistic and support retention of its intercontinental missiles and a uranium enrichment programme. No threat to current leadership.
The sea blockade isn’t working and Iran is exporting oil, and allowing Russian oil tankers out.
Trump and Putin are on very bad terms over Iran.
US has no diplomatic efforts going on in any direction.
