Emergency crews scrambled to the area just after 9am today.

Locals in Fife reported a house-shaking explosion.

Firefighters are currently tackling a massive blaze in Methil after the hige blast.

Emergency crews raced to the incident at Methil harbour in Fife this morning, Sunday, December 21, at around 9:11am after multiple heavy goods vehicles burst into flames.

Seven fire appliances were scrambled to the scene to extinguish the blaze, with police and ambulance crews also in attendance.

There were no reports of any casualties and it is unclear how the fire started. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) urged people to avoid the area and have asked locals to keep their windows and doors closed.

Locals heard a huge bang before mercy crews began to arrive in the area. Others reported seeing the smoke overhead from miles away.

One person shared an image online, saying the explosion “just shook my whole f***ing house”. They added that they could see “police, fire crews, and ambulance on the scene”.

A picture from the harbour shows smoke completely covering the premises as a lone firefighter stands valiantly aiming a hose towards the inferno. A separate image shows huge plumes of black smoke above the orange flames, with fire officers dotted around the area.

TAP – Yet another unexplained UK fire and explosion.  Anyone would think munitions were being shipped out of a tiny Scots harbour heading across the North Sea.

Is Russia able to track these shipments with effective inside UK intelligence gathering?  And lob missile attacks in from submarines lying offshore?  Or some other form of attack?

The government wants to brush this off as a vehicle fire.
