Death is first loss but then opportunity

The stories from Near Death Experiences or visitations by people from the afterlife are online everywhere – as the internet has opened up to everyone.

Here’s another angle.

This presentation of The Tibetan Book Of The Dead is a bit harsh and clinical but is interesting.

It’s the same as in life, if true.  Accept what you are offered by spirits immediately.  Don’t hesitate.

You define the questions of what to do, and the answers are given to you in your moments of relaxation or when wakening.

After death, the spirit world comes to help you.  If you don’t accept and go, you descend into your own fears.  Stop believing the nightmares.

Next comes the Reckoning which decides………will you be sent for Reincarnation?  Your soul chooses which kind of earthly life you will go to.  Or will you go to the light and not be reincarnated?

My reaction – how does anyone know all this?

The sources like Dr Andrea OConnor on youtube describe what happens around death – she worked in a hospice, witnessed ‘events’ and has had visitations herself.  She is much nicer to listen to than this machine voice.  I prefer her approach if I’m honest.

    Fascinating video thanks Tap

“how does anyone know all this?” That is a very good question

It’s a very very interesting vid nonetheless. With some very very good personal advice for all of us

Shame about the sales pitch at the end though

Maybe title should be ‘be ready for bodily death – don’t miss your greatest opportunity.’ NB ‘It’s’ with apostrophe is short for it is. ‘Its’ with no apostrophe is not an abbreviation, meaning of or pertaining to ‘it’. Not everyone gets it right including many teachers. Sorry about the sales pitch. I only watched until interrupted as per normal!

You are sounding like Belyi now Tap 🙂
        I sort of knew that….

But I am missing your point, I shortened “it is” to “it’s” in my reply, above which is what I intended to say?

        • Tapestry says:

Perfectly done, Pete. I had an it’s too but changed it to somethng else. Got interrupted and had to leave without finishing comment to make sense! Same happening right now. As for the topic, it needs some distraction technique I felt. I will return to it again. It’s kinda fascinating as a concept that death is not only not the end. It’s the key moment of all our lives when we finally get to see the stuff we can sense but never really see, except in the shadows, or in paranormal events. I had a vivid dream of my mother two nights ago. God it was emotional, and such a release as we had a terrible relationship when she was alive, and the visitation was so nice. Don’t tell me visitations are not real. I’ve had so many and they change your life when they come, always for the better. Like Belyi? She won 2024 Commenter of the Year. I am proud to be in her company. It’s an accolade, for which I thank you. If the concept of death being the moment of greatest opportunity, then that could be why the Satanists are so keen to depress us and keep us afraid in life so we make wrong choices after death, and don’t add our energy to the forces of goodness in the universe and turf them out from the control centre. If we act in fear, we are disempowered, both before and after.

            Well said

One of the biggest benefits of my research here on Tap and elsewhere is that I no longer fear death. Partly because of the realisation that fear is one of their key weapons, maybe even their primary weapon. The fear porn is almost constant now…

And because death will happen to us all at some point, so what’s to fear? It’s perfectly natural and inevitable too. Live life to the full up to your dying breath. That’s what I intend to do

The big question for me is, what happens then? Your video certainly gave me plenty to think about and I will return to it as well. Live and die without fear and you will achieve enlightenment, as per the ancient Eastern mystics seems to be the message

Yes, Belyi is a very valuable commenter with her plain common sense and questions. I’m sure that you realised that my tongue was firmly in my cheek when I wrote that. She’s a sticker for Grammar and that is quite correct. If we don’t understand the meaning of words then we fall at first base. The Trivium, Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric upon which all effective communication is based. My “Grammar” school failed to make that clear back in the ’60’s….

Finally, I saw a quote in a book that I’m currently reading:
“BEING [or any being] in ultimate metaphysical analysis is composed of three elements, neither of which has any independent manifestation, or is knowable otherwise than in interaction with the other two. They are CONSCIOUSNESS, ENERGY and SUBSTANCE. All three exist in everything”

From an Anglo Irishman, Gilman Beamish Brown, son of a gentleman farmer in County Kerry
