Is there any way that this could legitimately be used in a benign way?
The CAT 4 Infra-red LASERS used in a Laboratory would require Safety measures and protective eye wear. Without the weapon been used as designed focusing the beam to a target. I would be unsafe but not lethal.
They have them here in Bexhill, I noticed here in at a junction, leading up to the main shopping centre traffic lights bristling with cameras and other attachments, no doubt the laser equipment you mention.
When people realize how lethal these are they will all be getting organised with close friends and removing the weapons and taking them out of service – If anyone has trouble with the Criminals deploying them or assisting the mass murder plan. Does anyone know whether the IR laser would be used on the person or the vehicle. Do lasers get used as anti personnel weapons? I have personally only ever seen them used against buildings or to start wildfires.
It might seem a silly thing to ask, but should it be for anti personnel purposes, wouldn’t other options like eg 5G be easier to use .
