See political thought like a prayer

If you simply go back to the basic idea of expressing opinion and ideas as to how things ought to be, it’s simply a different wavelength of the same tune as all the other arts. Introduce money and of course everything gets corrupted. Of course political discourse can influence events. Political systems can all be bankrupted and rotten, but pure expression of thought is never a loss. And no one can predict when it will have major impact. Keep it simple and it works. Don’t give up on thought. Don’t give up on speech. Don’t give up on politics. The people might not be listening, or the main media, but God could be. I agree in the mystery of events John, but politics is not a subject to exclude. Treat it like a prayer to bring about what you believe to be right.

That gave me a chuckle! Politics is the area of disagreement between people, and every effective political move or statement will be met with opposition. But don’t let that put you off! Reality’s always screamin’ – but that don’t stop me dreamin’. There’s a song here somewhere.
