Eventually they meet up with a few civilians who did not evacuate, who have been living in dark basements for three months, who give their accounts and their gratefulness for being rescued and being able to come out and breathe fresh air without fear.
Military who are on the ground clearing/checking each building show the abandoned vehicles and equipment and engage in conversation with the team.
