I remember a quote from a Chomsky book called Necessary Illusions. The quote was by an unnamed Presidential advisor. He said, “Be under no illusion, the role of government is to serve corporate power and the ruling elite. The role of the Media, is to control the stupid and ignorant masses”.
Its not only the American elite Danceaway, they were following orders from London. Yes Danceaway, quite true it was about America, but I think sometimes we need to step back and look at the bigger picture in order to connect the dots. London uses its American colony as a testing ground for its policies, rather than they come here from America!
