Tennis games are faked, where better players are paid off to lose deliberately, and the emotion of the Philippine diaspora crowd goes through the roof. The commercial world fights like rabid dogs to get Eala as their sponsor and brand icon.
Tennis is not played by Filipinos (or even watched previously) so they think it’s all real, and the few in the crowd that suspect some of the points are strange, have to keep quiet. Unforced errors from her opponents litter her games. The heart stirring narrative of the economic underdog somehow beating American champions plays on and on, and the people cannot get enough of it. (She’s the daughter of the former Sports Minister groomed for sport since two years old – politicians in the Philippines are invariably rich and only get richer!).
It’s all heady stuff for a poor people suffering high prices, poor employment opportunities and high taxes.
It’s partly the money but guess which country is being groomed for war next to act as the US’ Asian proxy like Ukraine in Europe? That’s right. The same Philippines with President Marcos engaging in comments to stir up strife against China. They need some sporting heroics to make the downtrodden and undersupplied Philippines believe they can take on a mighty opponent like China. Of course it will be another wipe out with the US driven out as is happening right now in the Middle East, and more slowly but assuredly in Europe.
Lots of people will be lost in the process, but at least the Filipinos were allowed their Eala moment on the way there.
She’s a class act, very charming, good with media, nice smile, young and the perfect ambassador for the country. When the war starts she’ll play a role of course, in boosting morale when needed, and helping Filipinos to believe they can beat China in a war – a country with a hundred times the economy. Keep the tennis victories rolling. No one will even notice the insanity of President Marcos as he cleans out the country’s Treasury, and Eala becomes one of the wealthiest people alongside him. War is a business, and it needs PR and advertising, same as cars and sports kit.
Trouble is war pays far bigger than the rest.

The Mercedes-Benz logo had been emblazoned across the WTA Tour since January 2026.
A $500 million, decade-long commitment that was supposed to usher in a new era of prosperity for women’s tennis.
But when the biggest star of the season rejected a lucrative personal deal with the German automaker, the ripple effects threatened to shatter the partnership before it had even found its footing.
The WTA’s premier sponsor had a vision. A young, global icon to represent the brand’s future. But Alex Eala had a different vision. And her refusal to bend sent shockwaves through the sport’s corporate corridors.
Within weeks, Mercedes-Benz was pulling back, leaving the WTA scrambling to salvage a relationship that was supposed to last a decade.
The tennis world was stunned. The WTA was in damage control. And Eala, the 21-year-old Filipina who had already redefined what was possible for her nation, had just redefined the power dynamic between athlete and sponsor.
Was Eala’s rejection a moment of principle, or a mistake that will cost her millions?
TAP – It’s certainly evidence that she is much wealthier than she makes out about being a poor Filipina. Is Eala in fact an adjusted spelling of the name Ayala, the famous Spanish family that owns much of Manila and a large chunk of the Philippines? I would not dismiss the idea entirely.
Such a family would not need to be repping for a car manufacturer, even the most luxurious in the world. I haven’t researched the name Eala further than her father, but it might be entertaining to check them out for someone interested in genealogy and family tree pursuit. Look out for connections to Ayala. Behind sport lies politics and media. Behind both you find wealth. Future Presidents have to come from somewhere. I doubt this is all about pink dresses.

This is princess creation, entering the realm of royalty – notice the handshakes from current royal and presidential models – and sainthood. Crosses on her coat? It’s how the ruling class rules, and keeps the peasants in their place, the psyop. Optics. Think Paul MacCartney (sic) more than Billy Jean King. The evidence I see is that the Eala ‘project’ is working. The Philippines is drunk on her ‘success’.
I just keep quiet as each Filipino I meet tells me how amazing she is. They simply wouldn’t be able to ‘get it’ that their minds are being programmed for control. They need the joy in their lives, alongside the harshness of their economic realities.

You have to ask yourself. Is this sport or politics – politics with what aim? Pre-war…
The richest land-owning family in the Philippines, looking forward to getting wartime site clearance and demolition for free!! Buying land for centavos on the dollar from indebted competitors. War is the most profitable and best time for the super rich to stay on top. Is this Sports superstar being readied to maintain the peoples’ morale, behind a weak and unpopular President Marcos? And possibly one day act as President herself?
The corporations are preparing the ground for a massive wartime takeover, the people to pay the price. Mercedes will be hoping for a cut, while the Philippines is being turned into a regional ammunition manufacturing hub…all the metals being mined locally. A satellite launching port being built and a Pax Silica data harvesting location set up. Weather modification (HAARP located near Clark) already sending evil weather towards China on a regular basis. There’ll be war jobs going, but otherwise poverty as ever will be the norm. Offer a new princess to win the peoples’ hearts and they’ll comply. The bankers are good and ready for hostilities to break out.
