Sweden – from a nation of peace into a battlefield

COMMENT – I’ve lived in Sweden for almost 29 years now and first came here 37 years ago. The political decline of Sweden and the overwhelming influence of the Wallenberg family is frightening. I’ve watched politicians from all the parties here in Sweden licking the arses of this family. I remember before Covid attending a protest against Sweden joining NATO – there were loads of people there, but no media coverage. There was no referendum about joining NATO as that would have created a public debate which the Swedish establishment would have lost. The country was been betrayed and its sovereignty has been stolen.

Yes, I saw it. Very true. And it went very fast. The two largest parties moved from ’no’ to ’yes’ in a just a couple of weeks. The Soc dems had a members meeting via Teams with thousands of attendees, to hear what the collective wanted, but no one was allowed to debate or even speak. It was a one way presentation. Afterwards they just claimed that it was ok with the members since they had a democratic meeting… The Swed dems were strongly against and even had a decision from their congress not to join NATO. Suddenly the leader of the party just proclaimed that they were now in favour. No process. Nothing. A friend of mine (ex army) who was an MP at the time left the party at that time. It was all dictates.
The top politicians were fed false intelligence and some are corrupted. They played the old Russofobia card cleaverly.
The effect of joining is less national security and higher costs. We created enemies that weren’t. Defence budget went from 40bn to 120 bn and they now aim at 200bn. Most used to buy American crap weapons like Patriot and now French frigates. All out of date warfare concepts. Billions are spent on building longer air strips and highways from West to East in Norrland where no one lives. And we donate to Ukraine; ATV:s, and now 20 fighter jets…. So sad. So mad.
