The EU is built around hostility to Russia and hostility to Putin. Take away the threat from Putin, and there’s no way to hold on to the EU’s rationale for cancelling elections.

Italy is looking a weak EU member – not keen on sending Italian troops to Ukraine. Italy has stopped sending weapons to Ukraine, not increasing military spending. And is happy for war to end. Meloni is out – although attending EU meetings saying little or nothing. Orban and Fico are in open mutiny vs the EU over Ukraine. In Germany AfD is growing, opponents of the war. In Romania Georgescu is popular and wants war to end.
The EU has nothing except war to keep itself going. Without Putin Brussels has no glue. The EU needs time to hold itself together.
They are hoping wait out Dump maybe until the midterms, when the Democrats might start a comeback. Meantime they can only wait out Dump.
The EU will sacrifice the whole of Ukraine if it has to. It keeps the money flowing, and the power fantasy alive.
As far as peacemakers are concerned in Kiev, they can all Fuckoffski. Once the war is over, he’ll be out of a job…with nowhere to go.
Inside the UK, we need a party campaigning for peace like the AfD. All the others favour conscription and deployment.
We’ve had fake Conservative and fake Labour. Now we have fake Reform.
