Journalists have never stood for office. You do deals or you don’t get in. The voters get some of what they voted for but never all.

Based on my own personal experience, most, if not all, who want to succeed to the highest position of organizations —public, private, or religious—are not Mr. or Mrs. nice guys. I constantly see this in lower level government with the constant back-stabbing and self importance to advance their careers.
My thoughts goes to Daniel 4:17.
private? self created organisations are still outside the system. make your own and enjoy a much freer life and community for as long as you can. If Kennedy criticised Warp Speed he’d be going after Trump. Now that would not work would it. Be simple in your own world view but realise that the world of power broking is never simple.
