When I looked where this place is on the map then I was surprised that the front lines were so close as Patrick says, 10k [Google calls it, Horlivka] I thought that they are still fighting for Pokrovsk which is approx 100 kilometers west of there. And that the Russian advances had taken such places out of range of 155mm shells
It’s all a bit strange, lots of talk about ongoing Ukie collapse and Russian advances but they are still so very close. How does that make any sense?
Whatever, shelling civilians is a war crime. As far as I can tell the Russkies don’t do that, they are careful not to hit civvies, at least their own
The west has never had any compunction about doing that has it. In the west then, war crimes are only things that the enemy du jour do. Despite all the masses of evidence over the last century to date then, that is the consistent media line. It’s a lie of course as usual, my old man saw Hamburg after it was bombed flat by Brits and Yanks in WW2, as clear a war crime as you could imagine
100% Pete, but the history books sort it out, ie we’re the good guys, the rest are evil. Finally a few Hollywood films do the summing up of how evil they were while we were trying to do good.
