    I remember when Ken Livingstone brought in a £1 charge to travel anywhere. My Mum, who used to come and visit me, was delighted that such a modest sum would take her all the way to Heathrow.

    I can see all these , “like the rule where you go mask free to sit in the pub, but mask up if you stood”, crazy but deliberately crazy, and ridiculous rules, causing just a very slight tad of resentment. At just the right time Tommy Ziopuppet Robinson might be wheeled out. The ensuing riots complete with hoody wearing crisis actors, and burning out of date Cop cars could usher in some more ridiculous Starmarist clown show laws.
