    I haven’t smoked for years and I wouldn’t want someone chain-smoking next to me in a restaurant, but having said that, I’m totally at ease with restaurants large enough to have a no-smoking room if the staff are happy with the rest of their customers smoking.

    I tend to agree with Richard Vobes that there is likely another agenda behind this idea to stop smoking in pub gardens, etc.
