Having lived and worked in farming since childhood, Mark Byford saw the environment and community around him being destroyed by industrial farming practices and the policy emanating from the United Nations Agenda 2030. His Suffolk farm has given him the opportunity to improve the land, whilst engaging directly with the buying public, and he has a clear vision for the practical delivery of a future for food security at the local level.
In reinforcing his philosophy with well-considered examples, such as the consequences of genetically modifying seeds, Mark provides a series of credible and established options for consideration. Among the systems and networks he mentioned are Open Food Network, People’s Food and Farming Alliance, Community Supported Agriculture and Land Workers Alliance. Mark welcomes visitors to his farm in Suffolk and he produces regular videos for his YouTube channel.
