A lot of the laws are shite and are so, for nefarious reasons. Eg the trucks in Scotland limited to 40mph on single carriageway roads. All the cops and government assholes have cars, and therefore know that the trucks do 60 when there are no ” safety!! camera vans” around, however the vans get them rapidly down to 40 do to truckers jungle telegraph and flashes of lights, thus catching more motorists as the need to get past the trucks. Gun laws, are not about safety, either, but about disarming the public. All my friends and I had unlimited access to shotguns, and no one to my knowledge ever got shot. Even 12 ft lb air rifles are licensed in Scotland. I cop said to me, “I’ve seen what they can do”. Perhaps cars, axes, saws, and cobbles should be banned too then. Depression in the past can rule you out from getting a gun. I don’t think it is for the mental health issue, more likely that, if you have suffered from depression, you are more likely to be aware that our systems are all corrupt and this is pointed out in the article Pete Fairhurst posted yesterday. The don’t offend anyone law currently known a Humza Yousaf’s law, in Scotland is absolutely ridiculous too. If someone reports you, even anonymously, you can be prosecuted for offending someone on, race, sexuality, disability, age, and likely other things. It does not have to be intended, nor, “if anonymous tip offs” count, proved, and you can be jailed for 7 years. It could be used to lock anyone up at any time. The police will lately have lost any credibility and that they ever had.
