In a week 16000 people’s lives were just ruined because of an app because of an algorithm that spits out their name. IJOP is a pre-crime prediction platform that uses AI for mass data collection… You can be arrested for using more electricity than ”normal”, or when you leave the zone where you are registered to live without police permission. You need to pay attention to this because what’s happening in Xinjiang is not staying in Xinjiang, it’s already in other places in China, and the Chinese government is actively exporting this. It’s terrifying.
