Nilhal, The Woke Jim & Franker

Cockney ryhmin’, innit Nihal! Though, it may be my own personal rhyming slang. I may have read it in a book; Brighton Rock or something about the London underworld.

I searched and found the Cockney Rhyming slang for ’anker that begins with a ‘w’ is, of course, ‘merchant banker’, but I’ve long though it was ‘Jim and Frank’, with an added the ’er.

It’s one of those stories that makes me go, ugh, not again. Another ‘celebrity’ ‘of colour’ complaining about ‘white’ people.
BBC radio star struggles with ‘too many white colleagues’

It’s trending, as we say now a days.

Since when have I been white? If you bought me a pot of ‘white’ paint in the tone of my skin, I’d tell you to take it back. It wouldn’t be white. How do the likes of BBC presenter Nihal Arthanayake get away with being so prejudice and divisive? I guess, like Matthew Midazolam Hancock, Bollox Johnson, Sir Unwell Looking Whitty, Sir Patrick the UnValliant, Sir Van-Tam Moderna and Slimy Gove et al, they are protected some how, some way. Some are more equal than others. Mean while Nihal, at least 20,000 Palestinians have been slaughtered by Israel, yet you keep banging on about gender and identity politics. Did Nihal ever comment on Obama, Libya, Gadhafi and the emergence of slave markets in Libya? Probably not. I tend to refer to it as cultural Marxism and it’s been digging ever more deeply into England.

Imagine me working at a radio station in e.g. Nigeria and bemoaning how ‘black’ everyone is in the news room. Imagine a Pakistani family moving to Scotland, the son becomes First Minister and he complains about too many ‘white’ Scottish people in positions of authority. Oh, wait. That has happened. ‘Scooter’ Humza literally said this…

This never fails to stagger me:

Nihal actually supports and advocates ‘woke’. It states at the top of his ‘X’ account…
‘The meaning of WOKE is aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)’
https://twitter.com/TherealNihal
He’s stupid and it’s bollox. But, I’m probably a far-right, racist, white supremacist, phobistic Gooner who hates everyone and anything, especially women’s football and David Baddiel.

I occasionally hear him on BBC R5 Live when driving. He’s so awful, so right-on, so politically correct, I find it fascinating listening. How have we come to this when such a mediocre individual is apparently paid £150K to be on the BBC? That’s the BBC for you. Apart from the football coverage, it’s generally crap.

By the way, I took the figures for dead Palestinians so far from here:

Yurtta Barış Dünyada Barış : Peace At Home, Peace İn The World… if only.

    Another great post Ned!

These people really do take the biscuit. The Beeb is an utter disgrace, they are supposed to work for us, considering that the people fund them via their “licence” tax. But they are clearly working for somebody else. No difficultly to see who either

Paying the licence fee really used to stick in my throat for this exact reason. So I gave up on them totally, I never watch or listen to them anymore. I only see their shite second hand. This has the major benefit of meaning that I don’t pay a licence fee anymore. They can’t force me to when I don’t use their “service”

More people should do the same, why feed the malign beast if you can easily avoid doing so?

We have a BBC license. Members of the household watch TV.
I very, very rarely do, but I do find it useful for Match of the Day on i-player & e.g. listening again to a news item so I can quote an individual from e.g. BBC R4 Today to capture the exact wording.

I support a national broadcaster. Sadly, ours is appalling & possibly the most successful propaganda platform in the world.

This chap Nihal is so dumb, but at £150K/year, pretty clever for a dumbo.

P.S. Also, since we have a household license, I feel fully entitled to moan about them!

The one that really got my goat was Lineker. He gets over a million a year! How is that justified when there are thousands of decent folk who would do it for a tenth of that?

It’s supposed to be a public broadcaster NOT a commercial corporation. So why not have the public involved? Why run it like any other company? Lot’s of folk would give it a pop and there is bound to be one that does it as well, if not better than him. It’s a piss easy job to read out the ‘prompter and act knowledgeable about footy

He was always a carpetbagger. His one season at Everton was fruitless but it was sandwiched between two titles for us, season before Gary boy and season after. He took big money to move to Barca

Halcyon days for us, seems a long time ago now. And unlikely to be repeated anytime soon. The Arse on the other hand……

        • NPP says:

Lineker was never booked, which is an extraordinary record.

I don’t mind him airing his views, but we must be able to too e.g. the BBC does not debate climate change. That’s Pravda BBC. Gary gets paid & gets to mouth off with limited counter balance..

An excellent post again Ned, and great comments by yourself and Pete. I don’t watch TV but my wife has Netfix I think it is, and watches loads of them films with the wrong voice on kind of thing.

I meant to add that you notice how no one mainstream picks up on the comments by Yousaf or the Nihal guy, it’s all allowed to flow unchallenged, and only mentioned by us, who will no doubt be classed as extreme right wing, or some other word for those who disagree. Notice too how few Doctors are concerned enough about killing people to speak out on the vaccines. By how few I mean none. I don’t follow football, but seriously dislike Lineker too, having read bad stuff about his treatment of fans. Yes Pete someone else could do it for a wage to get by on, but that’s not how they roll.

    • NPP says:

Never seen Netflix. Never knowingly seen an ‘X’ box.

Pro footballers can provide experienced comment on £multi-millionaires chasing a bag of air.

It’s the one way traffic on political commentary that must be addressed. Nihal & Humza are both what they accuse others of being: prejudice, insecure about themselves. David Baddiel is another..
