Seymour Hersh Reports that Russia Is Selling Ukraine “the vitally needed diesel fuel that is keeping the Ukrainian army on the move in its war with Russia.” By Paul Craig Roberts

“Zalensky has been buying the fuel from Russia, the country with which it, and Washington, are at war, and the Ukrainian president and many in his entourage have been skimming untold millions from the American dollars earmarked for diesel fuel payments. One estimate by analysts from the Central Intelligence Agency put the embezzled funds at $400 million last year, at least; another expert compared the level of corruption in Kiev as approaching that of the Afghan war, “although there will be no professional audit reports emerging from the Ukraine.”

As I have noted, the Kremlin is not serious about war.  Apparently, Russia not only supplies European suppliers of weapons of war to Ukraine with energy, but also supplies Ukraine with the energy to enable its tanks and mobile weapons to kill Russians.

It must be infuriating to be a patriotic Russian. Is the Kremlin intentionally trying to turn Russians against the conflict in Ukraine?  Why fight for a government that provisions its war enemy?

Of course, this could be CIA propaganda fed to Hersh for the purpose of demoralizing Russian citizens.

Oil is oil. Russia sells it. Ukraine (i.e. NATO) buys it. Once oil is sold to a middleman, it will be bought by the highest bidder. If NATO needs fuel, NATO will pay. Who will refuse a dollar? Russia needs the cash, and will continue selling no matter. Oil is shipped by rail across Ukraine from Russia. Surely Ukraine (NATO) should be blocking this trade, but it flows continuously throughout this war. You begin to wonder if the bankers are running the war as they usually do, managing all sides. Ukraine/NATO destined to lose and Russia destined to continue across the continent of Europe to the Channel as did the Germans. NATO won’t seek peace so what choice will Russia have? Then once Europe is under Russian control, the Putin regime will actually have to show its true colours – no doubt a branch of the New World Order imposing the Communism the bankers have always desired.

Very good points about the oil, and the banksters too

I’m not sure that Russia has the capability to achieve all that though. Or the desire to take on that burden. What’s in it for them, other than heartache?

When Judge N asked Larry Johnson about this, he replied that the Russians see it as weakening the US,as it is being paid for with tax payers’ dollars. And the irony that Ukraine must ask for it. I suppose perhaps it gets blown up in attacks on storage facilities, as well? Paid for and then destroyed?

  4. Tapestry says:

I agree Pete, it’s the last thing Russia wants, but if NATO/Neocons won’t negotiate peace, war will continue with inevitable consequences, the destruction of NATO, not Russia. That’s before any other wars start as with China taking on the US and Japan in the Pacific theatre. Yes, Danceaway, sell then blow!

Yes Tap, it will probably continue until the banksters decide to stop, same old, same old

Also NATO is currently presenting it’s weaponry for annihilation by Russia. By conveniently shipping it all to the Ukraine battlefront. The Russians really don’t need to move anywhere at the moment it seems

If that continues then, logically, Russia won’t need to go anywhere near western Europe at all. They will do the job in the Ukraine and/or Eastern Europe. And then leave the increasingly moribund EU to look after it’s subsequent social, political and economic crisis all on its own. And with the comfort of knowing that the EU will then be powerless to threaten Russia any time soon

Unless of course Russia is instructed to act differently like you say
