Problem reaction solution. They know mass protests will come, so they need to manufacture consent for the changes they know they’ll need. Great cartoon Ned.

Why do we need to stop oil? It flows up from the centre of the earth in prodigious quantities (nothing to do with fossils) and has a multitude of uses and applications. The only difference being in my mind that we don’t need to breathe fumes from cars wherever we walk – around towns etc. Electric cars will save a lot of peoples’ health by keeping the pollution away from the humans. If they will permit hydride storage cars could easily produce the electricity from hydrogen so we need to unban lithium 6 the particle that makes hydrides viable, currently banned. This demo looks like managed opposition. If opponents of oil do dumb stuff like this they must be wrong about oil too. Also it gives govt the opportunity to ban demos of all kinds.

    All very good points Tap

If they were protesting about oil then, why not pour oil on the table rather than powder?

Sadly this incident will probably lead to even more “security” for snooker events. Snooker is notoriously civilised and mannerly. So yet another enforced change to spoil folks leisure enjoyment

I like the idea that oil is the blood of the earth.
    How about Thorium Nuclear cars!

Every time I see a solar panel. a wind turbine or a ‘silent’ electric car which plugs into the hydro-carbon energy grid, I can’t help but think eco-fasicism.
