Navy reacts to submarine threat to Britain

I have posted a few posts recently listing out the almost certain strike of a Russian missile on RAF Welford nearly two weeks ago, and one or two posts listing strange events like the meteor strike in Shropshire, where members of the public  witnessed a fireball in the sky, an explosion and what they described as a sonic boom as from a supersonic aircraft, not far from Oswestry in Shropshire.  This was followed by stories in the media advising people to look for pieces of a meteor in their gardens.   The same type of rock appeared in social media as local people then found it.  All very odd, and not convincing that these findings were genuine, but more likely part of a media operation.   If it was a meteor it would not have been only seen locally.
There could be other incidents which have appeared – the strange stackyard fire ten miles West of RAF Menwith in Yorkshire, which was attended by no less than eighteen fire crews, and was reported in the BBC…a stackyard fire.  All local roads were closed.
If there are Russian missiles flying into British airspace seeking targets like the radio telescope e-Merlin network, one being near Oswestry at Knockin, munitions dumps and listening posts like Menwith, you would expect to see more evidence appearing.
The Russians would presumably use their submarine fleet to fire missiles rather than going overland.  And that would bring about an attempt by the navy and air force in return to locate and attack the submarines.  The Russians could be operating from the Norwegian Sea as the missiles have a range of over 2000 Kms.  There could be newer versions of the missiles with longer ranges.  Equally no one was taking seriously Putin’s threats to hit back, which were sent by diplomatic letter on April 13th, asking the US and the UK to stop sending our servicemen (SAS and Delta type from the USA) to Ukraine, which our Defence Minister admitted to. The US rejected the ultimatum out of hand as reported in The Washington Post, as did the UK.  RAF Welford blew up the following day.
There is now evidence of an attempt to locate and destroy Russian submarines, surprisingly close to the shoreline in North Wales.  Presumably  by attack helicopters the navy means ASW helicopters?  The report is clearly intended to be noticed by a potential adversary..a hospital ship has been thrown into service, it appears, as no doubt Britain’s tiny number of ships are strung out around the world and not ready to face down an attack coming in more locally.
This from The Daily Express.

A ROYAL NAVY warship loaded with attack helicopters has been spotted cruising off the North Wales coast today.

The RFA Argus auxiliary vessel was seen in waters of the coast of Gwynedd to the south of Criccieth. According to the Royal Navy website, the RFA Argus is a “Primary Casualty Receiving Ship of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.”

It has a 100-bed medical complex onboard and acts as a floating medical facility during times of crisis or war.

The huge ship, laden with helicopters weighs in at a whopping 28,081 tonnes, is 175 meters long, and can exceed a speed of 18 knots.

According to reports, the mighty ship is led by Captain Kevin Rimell.

The tracking website Marinetraffic.com has the ship heading to an unknown destination after leaving the port of Plymouth in Devon.

There are no details currently on why it is in the area.

But it was a topic of conversation on the Criccieth Life Facebook page this morning, where photos of it off the coast appeared.

It was last in the news in December 2020 when it returned to the UK after helping stop more than £400m of drugs reaching Britain’s streets on operations in the Caribbean.

According to a Navy press release at the time: “The support ship departed eight months ago to support the region’s British Overseas Territories during hurricane season and the Covid-19 pandemic, but also to carry out counter-narcotics operations.

Commenting on the Caribbean operation, First Sea Lord, Admiral Tony Radakin, said: “I am extremely proud of what RFA Argus has achieved during her deployment.

“Protecting our overseas territories is a key part of the Royal Navy’s role in defending the UK’s interests worldwide.

“From countering drug smugglers to delivering humanitarian aid, Argus has proven just how versatile the Royal Navy is, and how valuable our continued forward presence remains.”

TAP – Britain has no business being in Ukraine.  We are literally mad to be getting involved and making ourselves into targets for missiles and nuclear weapons.  There is only one political party in Britain which stands against war, and that is The English Democrats.  I suggest that people who want peace should rapidly swing their political allegiances behind the party.  www.englishdemocrats.party
