There have been reports of a major fire at a factory unit in Wolverhampton this morning (Wednesday).
It has sent smoke billowing over the city and nearby residents have also reported hearing explosions.
Karl Geraghty, who lives nearby said: “There is thick black smoke and flames and I can hear explosions.
TAP – in common with a number of other city based fires in recent months, and the one in the Scottish east coast port, and the Oxfordshire industrial estate, fire started before people arrived at work. Massive and accompanied by explosions. This time a ‘.car repair business’.
There is nothing to prove that all these fires are acts of war, butif Russia had a way to knock out the UK’s military supply lines and depots, and had the intelligence of where these are, it would make sense to be degrading them. If it’s Russia, then how are they carrying out these attacks?

“At its height, more than 100 firefighters were dealing with the blaze, which caused significant disruption and took many hours to contain, West Midlands Fire Service said.
Up to 14 relief crews will stay overnight and chief fire officer Simon Tuhill said they would be in touch with business owners “in the future” about accessing the site.”

“Tuhill said he believed the fire was in industrial units at the site, which included a “variety” of businesses…..
The cause of the fire was not yet known as it was “very early days”, Tuhill added, but fire investigators had been at the scene.”
