This is what the Ukrainian Presidential Office Deputy Head Colonel Pavlo Palisa published to the Internet on 5 June 2025. It is what his office projects the Ukraine to look like 18 months from now. The map is very revealing:

In other words, at the highest levels the Ukrainian government expects the Russian military to keep grinding, keep advancing, and keep gobbling up former Ukrainian oblasts.
By late next year, the Ukrainians are projecting that the Russians will have taken a little more than half of the Ukraine under their control, including the east, the northeast, and all of the Black Sea coastal and inland areas, thereby reducing the Ukraine to a far smaller, landlocked country with very dim economic prospects.

I don’t believe that Russia seeks to grab territory. They want to make the Russian speakers safe and respected. People can’t seem to understand that it is such an enormous country, not widely inhabited, that Russia needs more land like a hole in the head.
Russia wants to keep the nazis at arms length. This Ukrainian scenario is entirely credible to me
It is purported to be from the highest levels of the proxy Ukrainian State. Whatever, it’s not about more land, it’s about neutering the proxy and keeping them away
