Lavrov – ‘two Orthodox nations’. The Vatican neutral in Ukraine war?

Why does the West want The Vatican to act as a neutral internediary between Ukraine and Russia?  Russia is not so keen, seeing The Vatican as not necessarily neutral.

THINKS – Von Der Leyen says the EU has the values of the Talmud/ NATO the same.  Ukraine is persecuting the Orthodox church.  The Catholic Church is no longer Christian.  Only Russia remains.
