The crime of carrying cash

Blimey. That is one piss poor police officer. I hope her victim reports her for theft.
Why carry £1000 cash? Pretty uncommon I’d think. How did they know he had £1000 on him? and seemingly unemployed, where did he get it.? All a bit bizarre. The woman cop too, hmmm. nuf said.
Buying a car or luxury goods? Not everyone has viable cards and bank account. With no cash such people will starve. Or carry silver coins and use those. I carry silver coins and duiscuss them whenever the subject of money arises.
I understand what you say Tap, and agree wholeheartedly with the concept of being free to carry cash as free citizens, but find it unlikely that an unemployed person would have that amount on them, and wonder how the cops knew he had it. I absolutely hate the confrontational police woman’s attitude.
The police have been reframed to regard all members of the public as either criminals or precriminals. Being alive is becoming a crime. Having children is a crime. This is the prequel to mass slaughter and mass arrests. Covid killer vaccine was simply the first wave of attack. War and reign of terror to follow.
It is indeed looking that way. Gaza may just be predictive programming.
They’ve successfully turned carrying cash into a suspicious act! And sadly many/most folk have accommodated that into their thinking
Try going into a bank, if you can find one, and withdrawing £5k of your own cash. They treat you like a criminal with special ID requirements etc. And the Spanish Inquisition about WHY you want the cash. You are assumed to be suspicious with BS about “money laundering” etc sometimes mentioned. So ironic considering that the bankers are the biggest money launderers of the lot! It’s the same if you are depositing, lots of questions about where the cash came from
All easily dismissed though, along the lines of, “none of your business pal, we don’t live in a police state just yet, although folk like you are doing their best”. That usually shuts them up
From time to time we come across people who talk to you so rudely and in such a manner. My policy is to go right up to them, without being in their face, look them in the eye and say, “Do you talk to everyone like that, or is it just me?” Which I have found floors them and brings them to their senses.
