The teller’s window closed here in a local financial cooperative subsequent to Donald Trump imposing trade tariffs on most of the world earlier this week. There was consequent global market volatility, and the system shut down. The girl behind the thick glass was nowhere to be seen. As far as I could see, there were no transactions for any banking service or anything at all; not for mortgages, deposits, withdrawals, salary payments, taxes, loans, pensions, water, sewer, electricity, TV, Internet, telephone service, nothing.
But to put that in perspective, that’s just the teller’s window for one business day in one small financial cooperative in Ecuador.
On a much broader scale, if the dollar and/or the U$$A, Inc. end(s) up tanking, then we will all be in a different universe and most everything will be closing down. For just one instance, in the so-called Civil War in the U$$A, Inc. in the 1860s, the CSA lost on the battlefield, collapsing their government and thereby rendering their currency valueless.
Just you wait for the huge, battlefield losses of the Pentagon to commence. We’re only in the first week of April, and Trump has set out a whole list of countries and territories that are in line for Pentagon special attention.
Going from his own public statements, at the least Donald Trump intends to annex/bulldoze/bomb/seize/attack/and-or destroy: the Panama Canal Zone, the Gaza Strip, Mexican narco-cartels, Canada, Greenland, Yemen and Iran, all while remaining largely mum on his true intentions towards China, North Korea, and most of the rest of the planet.
MAGA To The Rescue (er, actually not)
For years I have been telling my readers that the U$$A, Inc. is going to be going down hard, very hard; that it will be chopped off at the knees, never to rise again.
You see, the honest truth about Donald Trump’s MAGA rhetoric is that he is simply lying. What else would you expect from a wealthy, bloviating, blustering, New York City con man? He doesn’t care. He really does not give a fig.
He and Elon Musk are actively dismantling the U$$A, Inc. Whether you agree or not, they are taking it right down to the bargain basement. They are going after entire agencies with relish, firing/laying off people by the hundreds of thousands and even dissolving some bureaucracies entirely: USAID, the IRS, Education Department, Veterans Affairs, Social Security, the Pentagon and more. There are even announced plans to trim the Army’s forces by as many as 90,000 troops.
Now this is the point where you may remonstrate: But, Richard, how will the Pentagon be able to field a fighting force with those sorts of troop reductions, especially with a heightened probability of major warfare looming up large on the geopolitical horizon?
To which I answer that maybe that is precisely how the U$$A, Inc. Army intends to trim its fighting force by 90,000 troops. Send them into Mexico to have firefights with the narco-cartels; send them storming ashore in Iran to fight the Iranian Revolutionary Guard; airdrop them into Gaza to fight Hamas; send them swarming across the border into Canada to seize Canadian wheat fields and oil fields; and so on around the world.
Why, there will be 90,000 casualties in no time. To be sure, the world is now squarely in the post-1945 nuclear era, meaning that there is no guarantee at all that the Pentagon forces will prevail in the ever lengthening list of military adventures that Donald Trump is contemplating. There is simply no telling what kind of return fire there might be, and from what quarter.
Trust me on this: Donald Trump is only getting started. My condolences if you voted for him. Either you believed his lies, and that’s sad; or you are in on his dastardly schemes and are hoping to profit from them somehow.
For my part, I saw through the political dog and pony show decades ago, and do not vote or register to vote. It is all rigged. The entire process is criminally rigged. That is the beginning of political wisdom.
