We’re living in a world of fools
Tue 7:02 pm +00:00, 4 Feb 2025….breaking us down when they all should let us be. We belong to you and me.
This was the brothers’ last performance together when a very fit and healthy Maurice Gibb died suddenly not long afterwards. Musicians who have mass followings and who start to see how his world works and sing about it might not be permitted to do so for long.
Did you know Maurice married Lulu when he was twenty and she was nineteen? It’s an interesting video as you can hear him talking a lot when he doesn’t say much in later videos. Only short.
And he was always goofing about – there was definitely a free spirit in Maurice Gibb.
He definitely didn’t take things seriously enough. Stars aren’t meant to laugh at themselves. I can wear many hats, he said. He comes across as rebelling against the media and the system. Interesting. Not quite comfortable in his own skin.
A big factor in the family was the death of brother Andy. They blamed Hollywood and the industry.
Robin Gibb was a lot calmer and relaxing to listen to. He explains very well how songs get written. The headline or statement comes second after the melody. Being in different places brings out the creativity. The stories are uncanny, as if the spirits are talking through the artists. The Satanic system can’t bear the message of love coming out and bringing peace to the world. Many great musicians seem to be robbed away from us far too early.
