    I look back on my childhood with pleasure. My family were all bookworms and I had all the classics and many books written even earlier. My uncle as a director of a well-known book shop kept me up to date with the latest for children.

    I was read to as a child and by the time I started school at 5, I could read myself. A wonderful grounding that I’ll never forget.

      Yes Belyi, my long suffering wife and I taught our granddaughter to read before school age. It has to give you a head start.
