    Please note, that when starvation is used as a weapon, it isn’t their first rodeo, and your stocks are likely to be confiscated, “to share with others” ahem, of course.

      I think that it is obviously best to hold a decent stock of stuff to keep you going for a month or two. But anything longer than that is realistically unnecessary. Because, if the system breaks down that comprehensively then, food won’t be my first concern. The thoughts of the feral humans flooding out of the nearby cities for plunder is far more terrifying than being hungry

      at least I’ve got a powerful air rifle, that should keep them at bay for a few extra minutes 🙂
