I don’t think that anything has really changed as to who’s in charge. It’s just that those who run the show have different plans now, and the old rules don’t matter. I liked the Zappa song , “Willy the Pimp”, and found Frank’s quote quite enlightening. I feel that what he said is now in play.

He fell when I read Dave McGowan’s book “Weird scenes inside the canyon : Laurel Canyon, covert ops & the dark heart of the hippie dream”. Frank was the canyon’s musical Capo it seems
McGowan was a limited hangout who revealed a lot, but left the most important stuff alone. He exposed the fake moon landings in a similar way, never dug deep enough to finger the real perps who remained in the shadows as usual
