What a story! Real history that is largely unknown I’m sure
I grew up in and around Liverpool and West Lancashire. There were many mines not far from when I was born, my father was born in a Lancashire Coal and Cotton town. He told me his experiences as a child, but I had no inkling of the history and conditions in the pits after I left my “schooling” when I was 17. It was only when I went to a Midlands city for University study that I had the time, or inclination, to learn some of the real history of industrial Britain
I will never forget the stunning experience of my visit to a coal mining museum. There were photographs and scale models of the working conditions that the miners endured. And the scale of the frequent “pit disasters” that occurred, often hundreds of dead miners resulting in destitute wives and children
I was shocked to my core. Why had I never heard anything about this in my schooldays? Even though I lived only a few miles from the scenes of such abominations and disasters
This history shows me just how the real purpose of modern “government” has been subverted and lost now. From the working man’s perspective then, government’s role is to PROTECT ordinary folk from the predatory nature of the ruling classes and their corporations. Not to impose ridiculous “laws” and “regulation” like hate speech on ordinary people
This was once well understood and State Regulatory Agencies were created with this express purpose. But these agencies have all been captured now by the industries that they are supposed to regulate. Just look at big Pharma, the MHRA has been fully captured. It is a vassal of Pharma, packed with “ex” Pharma men and women
It’s in your face, just look at UKHSA, which is ostensibly about “Health Security” It is located at Porton Down, the UK nuclear and bio weapons secret lab! You couldn’t make this shit up!
From Gov.uk:
“The world-class facility at UKHSA’s Porton Down site is dedicated to the development and testing of new coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines.”

Disturbing Pete. Re mining stories, a local mine owner had a mine shaft bricked off when it caught fire. At a later date, on reopening it, an older man was found behind the bricks, with his arms round three teenagers, who’d been blocked in and left to die. The good news is that the mine owner was fine.
