I worked in the Dept of Pharmacology for 8 years and there were open discussions about everything.I got on very well with my academic boss Dr Brian Callingham a founder member of the university department.I was a former champion road cyclist of the east and Brian rode for Brghton Mitre cycling club riding time trials. He is a senior lecturer and his wife is head of Boots Pharmacy. We had a discussion on Bird Flu and the scaremongering of notorious prophet and statician Professor Neal Ferguson who forecaste 1000’s of deaths with foot and mouth, bird flu, hong kong flu, spanish flu and any other flu the British did not like including pig flu and Covid 19.Anyway as I remember 2 swans were found contaminated by avian flu on the Norfolk Coast leading to this scaremongering. I frequently trained on my bike along the whole Norfolk Coast famous for it’s bird sanctuaries and floating hides with millions of birds migrating to and fro. It would have been impossible to isolate 2 birds. Dr Callingham told me it would be impossible to contract bird flu in humans. He explained bird have very small respiratory tracts and humans very large ones with very sophisticated defence mechanisms. He said the virus had to transmute twice and it would be almost impossible to contract bird flu in humans.

That is good to know thanks Stanley Francis Alexander. It doesn’t surprise me one bit though, my assumption was that any future “bird flu” plandemic would be BS
Not least because, how could they release a real deadly pathogen that doesn’t effect them too? Other than in Hollywood movies then, that is surely impossible
