A revolution is sweeping through Britain. What do I mean by that?

I’m talking about mass, uncontrolled immigration. I’m talking about the fact we can no longer control our own borders. I’m talking about a stifling political correctnesswhich has left so many of us unable to say what we really think.

I’m talking about a political economy which is completely broken —which is still organised around London, consumption, importing cheap workers, and prioritising the interests of big business over the interests of the wider national community.

I’m talking about how we no longer really own anything anymore, how we no longer really make anything anymore, and how we no longer put British workers first.

I’m talking about what we’re teaching our children in schools about race, sex, and gender, how we’re exposing them to radical ideas which often have no serious basis in science. And how these ideas are now fully entrenched in our elite institutions.

I’m talking about how nobody in power seems to take crime seriously anymore, how our police did not even attend 45,000 burglaries last year, and how most people say they no longer have confidence in the police to keep them safe.

I’m talking about how Britain now has some of the highest rates of family breakdown in the Western world —where nearly half of all children are no longer living with their mum and dad by the time they turn eighteen-years-old.

And I’m talking about how nobody in power seems to care about these issues while those who do are routinely derided as reactionary and old-fashioned when, in reality, they are speaking for a majority of the country.

None of the things I’m talking about are ‘fringe’ issues. Far from it. If you actually talk to people out there in the country —as I do— then you’ll find a Missing Majority who feel deeply concerned about what’s happening around them.

Most Brits think our economy is rigged to favour the rich and powerful while many of them now believe globalisation is weakening, not strengthening, our society. Most Brits think immigration has been too high, want to end the failed experiment with mass immigration, and want to control their own borders.

Most Brits loathe Woke political correctness. Most think it’s gone too far, feel unable to challenge the beliefs of the ruling class, think cancel culture is ridiculous, and hate being lectured to by woke corporations which simultaneously avoid tax, undermine workers rights, and fuel growing inequalities.

Most Brits think we should be doing far more to preserve our distinctive identity, culture, and history —which they worry are being rapidly eroded by globalisation, internationally-minded elites, and woke activists who, to be blunt, either have no real interest in preserving our national community or want to overthrow it.

And most Brits oppose the Woke takeover of our language, institutions and society. Most reject the symbols of this cultural transformation —like referring to “pregnant women” as “pregnant persons”, allowing children to legally change their gender, or preventing mums and dads from seeing what their own children are being taught in the classroom about race, sex, and gender.

And most Brits reject the routine portrayal of their country —their home— as a place riddled with racism and discrimination, and their national identity as a source of shame and embarrassment. When they’re asked, most of the people who come these islands say Britain is a place of freedom, not ‘institutional racism’.

So, why is this revolution happening?

It’s happening because the people who run Britain no longer seem to care about the rest of Britain. They’re reshaping the country, they’re reshaping our institutions, around an elite, university-educated minority who simply no longer share the values held by many people, and who often look down on the rest of the country.

I know this because I’ve been in rooms with them. I’ve worked in the universities and around Westminster for twenty years. I know how this New Elite think and feel and what they believe. And I’ve now become convinced that millions of other peopleout there think the same as me. They’re utterly fed up.

They’re fed up with the status quo. They’re fed up with the failure of our political class to change it. And they’re fed up with how —over the last ten years— they were repeatedly promised they were about to get something different only to then be given more and more and more of the same.

This is why most Brits no longer believe the old parties and politicians care about people like them. They’re right to think this way -they don’t.

So, what can be done?

What I’ve been doing is building a community of people who share these concerns, who believe we can change things for the better, who want to explore ways of changing this broken consensus, and put a plan in place to do exactly that.

I’ve already worked to safeguard free speech and free expression in our universities —pushing back against a deeply intolerant minority by helping usher in a new law. And recently I’ve been helping people who are campaigning to bring about similar changes in our schools, or working to protect and promote sex-based rights.

Along the way, I’ve simply become convinced there are millions more people out there in the country who think and feel like me —who aren’t ready to give up, who want to push back against this failing, unfolding revolution.

So, over the next few months, what I want to do through this platform is begin to debate and discuss what might be possible with you —to interrogate, seriously, how those of us who feel profoundly concerned about the direction of travel, about the state of the country, might begin to make a real difference going forward.
