Tom Luongo explains why EU is hellbent on sanctioning Russian oil: Russia’s storage capacity for oil is full; cannot burn off excess as with gas; shutting down wells cannot be reopened. EU believes that if there is no one to buy Russia’s oil, this will destroy their economy.  Hence the pressure on India and Hungary. German Minister blaming Russia ( not sanctions ) for the forthcoming food shortages in Germany.
