Hungary sniffing at invading Ukraine
Sat 12:23 pm +00:00, 27 Sep 2025With Russia’s army advancing faster every week in Eastern Ukraine, the countries bordering Ukraine to the West have concerns as to what will happen next. Their oil and gas supply comes that way. Zelensky is threatening their energy security. There are Hungarians and Bulgarian areas inside Ukraine where many have been sent to fight Russians incurring huge casualties. If Zelensky threatens to bring mayhem in Ukraine the Hungarians have to look after their vital interests.
Bulgaria would not be a reliable partner, being EU owned like Romania and Poland.
Netanyahu is a close ally of Orban, so Hungary has a different background to other European countries, being untouchable by the rest of the EU.
